Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
Lakapoi, Mamuring,Focus,Baroi, FEZ, Water Fall, HUOI, Tengah, Mansur and the list goes on. etc..
All genuine contender waiting for exploration.
What a bonanza Tony's team has inherited credit to Mansur hard work and Time for any doubters to take on board that we have seen nothing yet.
Make no mistake this is not your average junior.
A while back the exploring team experienced all sort of difficulties and that put some strain on them. To succeed they
knew that they had to work as hard as they could but also begin to realise that could not come at the cost of their well being. So they took time to plan better living conditions by building better accommodation (out of tents) better nutrition and a minimum general comfort.
Is today different? I would say yes and no . To succeed the team now has to work just as hard , except it is not at the cost to themselves but that of the Company survival. So they take time off (kind of) to ensure that the venture remain viable and enduring. I support them fully.
RE: ARS spread the love :=)
Totally out of place comment.
Any company digging for as long as we have should be dead and buried by now. Ask yourself rather why are we still standing?
If it was that easy to get access to riches everyone would do it.
Keep the faith or if you think you made a mistake blame yourself not the company.
Good luck
Chartist what do you or anyone really knows?
...I think that some multinationals, who foresee bear market long in advance must have a laugh about Asiamet...
You mean something like:
Freeport Chairman James Moffett bought one million shares with a price tag of over $28.5 million. And Vice Chairman James Flores purchased 500 thousand shares at a value of $14.32 million in 2013.
The share kept going down after that until they hit $4 end of 2015
As they say" if one cannot stand the heat he better not get a job in a kitchen"
and so if you are in it don't complain about ARS because you are ignoring how it got this far and forgetting that we are not there yet.
ARS , KLG before that, has seen more ups and downs than an Empire state building elevator. Run out of money
many time and had exploration time off called on several occasions and workers went with little or no pay for extended periods. I never heard a complain then. Why you ask?
So let me tell you a story. You all heard about the amazing Hussein Bolt. He is the world sprint champion and now he is desperately trying to become a soccer player. The club he is training with is reticent to give him a contract because he wants to much money. He is a rookie and yet wants to be paid a marquis player premium. Very unfair to the other players in the team would you think. So much so that someone whispered a few words to his ear:
Chase your dream Man not the money.
Good luck to us all
Chartist watch it, I think you are starting to take a shine for this stock. Your self serving explanation relating to share fluctuation will soon or later be replaced by a strong conviction of what is really buried on our concession :=)
Good luck
IMO looking at ARS purely for the purpose of making a profit demonstrate a lack of understanding, of vision and
underestimating its futur potential .
Last week's incident should ring a bell. If I have here previously made posts in relation to CSR is because I could see that it was not something Tony was greatly concerned with and took his eyes off the subject. When was the last time Tony made reference to ARS's CSR achievements except in very general terms? As if it was something not to be proud off or something which will turn off investors or was it because little progress was made in that regard?
Anyway now we have all come face to face with reality and I hope Tony is, like the rest of us, taking notice .
Strangely don't you think, there is no value added to the ARS share price for Beutong and yet, a little incident regarding Beutong pops up and the SP tumble. Or is this because the real prize is KSK not Beutong?????
And therefore a warning? KSK has still some credit from Mansur' days but for how much longer if the board remain imbalanced in their approach and efforts .Is it not time also for the shareholders at large to recognize that proper due care has to be afforded to all stakeholders long before production. An integral part of the exploration budget and not just a token gesture.
Times have changed. I hope short term investors see the wisdom of this.
No access No mine!
Good luck to us all.
RAMBINEWS.COM, MEULABOH - Hundreds of students and activists from non-governmental organizations in West Aceh staged a demonstration at the Meulaboh Pelor Roundabout, West Aceh, Monday (10/15/2018).
The demonstration took place peacefully and rejected the presence of PT Emas Mineral Murni (EMM) in Beutong Banggalang Nagan Raya and Central Aceh.
The demonstration in the name of student action for the generation of Beutong Banggalang (AM GBAB) was escorted by the local police.
The crowd carried banners, cartoons and loudspeakers which were delivered alternately.
Explanation of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) of the Republic of Indonesia responded to the action of the gold mine refusal by PT Emas Mineral Murni (PT EMM) in Nagan Raya
Over the years I have posted many many times not to neglect the importance of giving full attention to our social responsibilities.
Action and not Lip service and neither resting on our laurels will ever do. Mansur was always very categorical " a mine without access is not a mine"
Let the unbelievers go If they thought that ARS was just a name to make money!
For the rest of us it is nothing except that timing is not upon us just as yet.
If one keep in mind that one difficulty experienced from day one of exploration was where to start digging, as mineralisation was found everywhere on the concession, is it really surprising that 30 years later we witness Tony and his team of very capable professionals are facing a dilemma of another kind? Not where to start but where to stop!!
Its tells me nothing except another proof of the exceptional nature of the KSK area.
Good luck to the ARS team and all of Us!

In the 20 years that we have been exploring
in this region of Kalimantan, no previous
prospect has generated such consistent,
high grade gold, copper, silver plus
lead and zinc assays over an area of this
size.
Baroi was identified during regional reconnaissance
in 1985 and 1997. However, due
to the extreme inaccessibility of the area,
sustained exploration was not possible.
With the recent construction of logging
roads, this situation has now changed and
during Ramadhan 2002 we were able to
initiate work at the prospect.
The Baroi prospects forms a large 8-
kilometer in diameter circular dome like
mountain, with peaks to 1000 meters
above sea level. While it is still very early
days, we are extremely encouraged by
both the size and the high-grade nature of
the mineralization at Baroi.
Gold, Copper, Silver, Lead and Zinc mineralization
has been identified within an
area covering 6.5 by 4 kilometers. One
sample from the central part of this system
has returned values of 18 grams of gold
per ton of rock, 16.4% or 164 kilograms of
copper per ton of rock and 460 grams of
silver per ton of rock. Rock sample assays
from the surrounding zones of lead and
zinc mineralization, have also returned
impressive values of up to 18% or 180
kilograms of lead per ton of rock, 29 % or
290 kilograms of zinc per ton of rock and
325 grams of silver per ton of rock.

@freeheel @KevinARS was talking with James Deo (CFO) regarding possible lower costs given the depreciation of the Rupiah and took the opportunity to have a wider chat. He posted this in a private chat and was happy for it to be shared:
“Had an excellent update call with James today. I’m very reassured. We covered quite a lot but James said he is really excited about asiamet, it reminds him of his days at oxiana...but we have a much better outlook in terms of the #copper market than they did then. Beutong is absolutely huge - a billion dollar potential asset and it’s very early days there but we have a resource. BFS no specific date discussed but sounds very very close. He said we have 38 or so targets on ksk a lot of which have the potential to be bigger than BKM. Mind blowing isn’t it. No value for Beutong at all. Lots of interest in the company and plenty of options around BKM and partners...”
Thanks Kevin, as always!
I post it because I find James comments interesting. James is a person who , like Owen H., is someone who has
a great reserve of personal ambition. He is not a person who like to waste his time.
For me, this again confirm what I always believed about KSK.
Freeheel, I hope many investors take notice and will follow your example to buy shares for their kids . I bought for mines many years ago. They are no longer kids of course :=)
So It makes me happy that slowly people are starting to see what ARS could become. A long time ago when KSK's potential became apparent it was already perceived how one day it could underpin the economic development of Central Kalimantan and thus Indonesia.
Remember that for a long time Jakarta as a Capital had serious limitations and for the last 40 years Palangkaraya has been penciled to take over. The Govt has been dragging their feet. I believe that building a successful mine on KSK concession will help crystallize the move. No one knows how long it will take but Who would want to miss out on such a dramatic nation building event?
Wishing good luck in the next few days for all short and long term investors
How things in this world correlate is often a mystery and usually difficult to envisage .
I give you an example. One about CH and you may even figure out yourself that it is kind of a secret .
Question: Why has your country been at peace for such a long time?
Answer : due to the protection emanating out of the cross on the confederation flag (btw it would be an error to attempt to change it )
Now regarding ARS it may be for you purely a profit making exercise but for some it is not the whole story. For some there is also a strong wish to see it shine by becoming a veritable success combining excellent return and best practice
I am not sure how feasible it would be to help our neighbours islanders but it is critical that ARS put in a substantial contribution looking after the interest of the local population.
Long time ago i used to own shares in Placer Dome . Disgraceful operation will always come back to bite you.

Now that Freeport has lost a big chunk of its main asset I am
wondering if Freeport has sold their ARS shares or is planning a volte face on Indonesia and KSK.
They easily can afford to improve on their refundable $30 Mil
My corny version of a quote:
Sometimes news come quickly and at other times they are terribly slow to arrive. It is not my place to determine the speed at which they come or if the arrive at all.
My place is to keep looking forward.
(Sorry I could not resist and probably deserve to be filtered)
BTW , YTS the Company foundation latest report tells how well the are going and how much they are looking forward for the mining activities to begin as this will broaden and deepen its capacity and outreach
For People like Chartist ARS is puzzling because they are not able pick when a share is an exception to the rule.
ARS is one of those rare case and the logic is too simple. Stick to it . Hopefully we will be allowed to do such thing long enough but if very unfortunately we happen to be taken out then exchange for shares in the new Company . Don't let go. Finger cross it will not be (that) private equity firm.
No one can tell you what is the futur going to be so better believe in your own judgement.
As for ARS, feel it deeply within yourself and know how far it can get. As for anyone wavering, well, free country as they say.
