Listen to our latest Investing Matters Podcast episode 'Uncovering opportunities with investment trusts' with The AIC's Richard Stone here.
We already had in the past 4 JVs with Majors, and hopefully they will keep on coming. It does not really matter who and how much it is going on the table so long as it strengthen the company going forward. This has been the route that has been plied so far and consequently the main reason we are ,after so many years, still in business today. LTH (which I am one) are long termer because of the belief that this Company with its crop of assets has the potential to develop into a top tear mining entity.
It is your investment. Name your price.
For those who wants to listen to Peter , in just about every of his interview Peter gives us a hint of what is in store and why it would be good to wait before anyone makes their mind up . I will repeat myself here a 1000 times and again for me his message is loud and clear "WE HAVE SEEN NOTHING YET! " Believe it or not is up to you.
Indeed! Analysts valuation of 14,18 ,20 or whatever are delusive and should be considered as red herrings. What do they know about the potential resources buried out there? If they wanted to know they would ask Mansur but of course that would only be based on his opinion. Well Well!! Mansur has just spoken .
Lot of investors have stumbled on ARS in recent time and dont realise that KSK has been out there for a very long time. During that time there has been a large number of interested parties looking at it and no doubt some have kept an eye on its development all along and I don't fancy my shares been snapped by one of them for peanuts.
KLG data is constantly being removed. Even last week "Baroiexplorationhistory.pdf was still there but gone today.
Check this one quick before it too disappear.

It is good reaffirming to each other , showing support and believing in a great outcome for all of us. A billion market cap is indeed an excellent and realistic aim but at the end it will account for little if the potentiality of ARS is not fully translated into real opportunities. One of very few chance in the world left to actually make a concrete and significant change in the world around us and showing how wealth needs to be distributed. (I am confident no one has appetite for Dayak or Acehnese coming knocking on your door step one day :=(
While the circumstances are still favorable and before the BIG mob swoop in.
IMO
...Overwhelming support was received by from the local community...(from day one should be added)
This relationship has underpinned the incoming success..Don't deny them their just reward...don't sell cheap or better
IMO don't sell until it fully materialise.
Good luck
..saying it is a master stroke is baloney. Masterstroke would have indeed be if Tony had anticipated the Cu price correction and waited before announcing any BFS date. (who on earth could have seen it coming?) He was simply reacting and it looks like good fortune is smiling upon him. Good for him and all of us lets say.
No question that Tony and his team are much more professional and focused than previous mgt .
However Tony is a 4-pound tested line as in my view at the big pond like the OX he was not at the helm.
Can he now land the red tuna that he has hooked? I truly hope he has it in him and can deliver... then lets
all the accolade flow.
It looks like Tony by chance and circumstance ( and so all of us) is in luck. The timely rise of the Cu price and the postponing of the BFS could simply be a blessing . As this venture has been going on for a very very long time it is perfectly fine if People trust and believe that they will soon start to make money by having invested in Asiamet. Personally, I did not invested in Asiamet but its predecessor. I would be very surprised if there are no more twists and turns on the horizon.
Baroi might not be the last nor the largest of deposits in wait. Is something causing the delaying in their discoveries I ask myself?
Beutong and/or KSK or the potential to be a game changer in the region? I would say that at the moment you all have your attention turned uniquely toward the approaching BFS. Who else?
Previously Tigers' group part owned Beutong and did not know exactly what to do with it. Very smartly Tony offered Beutong to KLG and took control of the new company. Tony recognised the similarities between the two. Enormous potential but in need of some cash flow. How to go from explorer to producer and still remain at the elm? That is where BKM or Beruang Kanan as it was originally called comes in. An ideal first financially feasible prospect, small to medium in size but rich and at surface and with some serious exploration data available.
Now is there anyone invested in asiamet who does still not see beyond BKM ?
Not sure which of the prospect it is. During the first 4 or so recons there was no existing maps . In and out of the jungle was done purely relying on the Dayak help. Some surveys were carried out and locations were given names. No sure if they still apply. The prospect aforementioned was located alongside the Baroi river.Unsure if it is the same as the Baroi" prospect as this one seems a fair way from the river. In any case if is it this one or that one is not so relevant as the point to remember here is that " KSK " tremendous potential was clear from the beginning. The discovery of the mother of all elephants I say!
Remember when the bfs comes out that it is a great step but this will only be the beginning.
M.Mayberry the geologist who was alongside mansur right in the begining claimed that the earlier reconnaissance survey already had discovered what had all the hallmark of a world class porphyry deposit. This was other than the Beruang Kanan prospect. And then...there is a awful lot of gold in those darn hills!!
Carube Copper is focused on creating substantive long-term value for its shareholders through the discovery and development of world class copper and gold deposits. Carube currently holds a 100% interest in 11 licenses covering 535 km2 of highly prospective copper-gold terrain in Jamaica, and a 100% interest in three porphyry copper-gold properties covering 492 km2 within the Cascade Magmatic Arc in southwestern British Columbia. Carube is actively searching for additional high potential copper and gold properties to add to its portfolio.
Stephen Hughes, CEO and President
Agree with you Tom . That protest was a wake up call for sure. Hopefully this will gradually becomes embedded and
a pillar of the Company's culture. When that time comes It would be of great benefit to a lot of people , indicating that ARS has come of age and on its way to become truly successful.
The company has selected the Hornbill as its logo which is a highly symbolic bird. It simultaneously represents power, fertility, nurturing and is a celestial messenger of the upper world.
As Mansur, the long term chief geologist, repeatedly said:
" our exploration effort and our social efforts are one and the same"
I take as meaning that when you nurture land and people fruitful time are ahead. They are intertwined. We also all have the power to be different and show a better way how things can be done.
BTW BKZ was not first discovered last year but 20 years ago when Mansur drilled 4 holes and 3 returned excellent grade.
In the interview watch Tony's facial expression when he talks about KSK. He knows he is on a good thing and so do most of us now. As for those who by now have not grasped that then there is nothing worthwhile for them to say.
Repeating, KSK will one day turn out to be the mother of all elephants. Small or large if you are lucky to afford it, this is the most exciting investment you will ever make. After 30 years I think am well placed to know.
Good luck still required
Regarding our KSK concession the (previous) mgt had strong commitment protecting local interest. This allowed
30 years of unimpeded exploration. There was now and then objections raised by various groups (environmental) even a petition to the President trying to stop exploration ( when Freeport joined with KLG and freeport brought unfortunatly their bad reputation with them) Again It got nowhere because of KLG good track record and strong support from the locals (pop. & Authorities). Local Dayak population support was also critical during various periods of Kalimantan riots and bloodshed . (remember Mansur talking about very nervy times for everyone) To understand better about the people we are working with in Kalimantan see the following article
https://reliefweb.int/sites/reliefweb.int/files/resources/5CAE213016ACA52A85256A790066BBD4-icg_idn_27jun.pdf
The way to avoid for sure any blockage of access to our Aceh & Kalimantan concessions or other type of obstruction is by ensuring the Equitable treatment of all stakeholders. That way I believe we will not need to always look over our shoulders with the added benefit for ARS that it will then be recognized as a safe & secure mining exploitation.
If someone here is interested how it all started and what might be there is a book by Matthew C. Mayberry which has recently been released.
"This book is about my impressions and personal experiences while leading six expeditions (May 1982 to July 1986) in exploring for gold and other minerals. These expeditions were the highlight of my professional life, and the area was legendary, especially in the villages known to the Dayak people as Data Hotap.
The work of the Expedition Team, Mas Asikin Alwi, Mansur Geiger, plus myself and many Dayaks, was really successful as we discovered several sources of gold and identified world-class copper gold porphyry targets.
The formal reports resulted in a Joint Venture agreement with our first corporate partner, Paringa Mining & Exploration Corporation, an Australian company. In short, our work “opened the door” to all the subsequent work. For this, the Expedition Group is really thankful."
