I know I am not very bright but how can anyone be pleased by such transaction ? A Complete nonsense and totally disrespectful IMV . Some $75 odd Mil$ of investment has been spend so far just on KSK alone and who knows how much on Beutong and someone is proud to sell 20% for less than 4 while in a middle of an economic hurricane like the world has never seen to top it up!

Lets not kid ourselves. The world is not going thru just a daunting health crisis but also is facing an even greater challenge.
i.e An unprecedented financial upheaval.
All that remain for now is to be safe and healthy. Good luck to us all, family and friends.

We have been waiting for a long time but in my view signing a deal in these unprecedented times is probably reckless.
It is clear to see where the whole world is heading and it is not going to be pretty. Better seat out that one and
wait Post covid when our assets will become far more valuable than they are worth today. Why give it away now for what
will seems by then a mere pittance? Does not add up.
Who can say what the demand for copper will be after covid but one safe bet is that a copper resource wholly owned will be preferable than a truckfull of cash.

Due to the total uncertainty of where we are heading the only one investing now are the speculators.
They will buy on the cheap then seat and wait for the recovery and make a motza. We are the perfect prey.

IMHO ABSOLUTLY Nothing to gain by signing anything now when ominous clouds are gathering and the whole world is looking down the barrel of a unprecedented financial debacle.
Keep your powder dry as predators a plenty in times like these.

Multiple times over the last 30 years mgt stopped the clock when faced with adverse conditions. Implementing such measure once again would not be inconsistent and demonstrate once more that we are here really for the long run .

The proposed BKM copper development will significantly increase employment of Indonesian nationals and use of local products and services, and the local communities in Central Kalimantan continue to be strongly supportive of the Company and the development of the BKM project.
Focus on the economic development in local communities is the way to go. The Indonesian bureaucracy tend to have
an attitude not what can i do for you but rather one of what can you do for me.

Sound advice . This epidemic scare may well turn out to be a lesser danger than its economic fallout.

It looks like our patience is tested once more. Does it matter if it is because it is election time, a currency crisis, political
upheaval, giant forest fires, interest rate skyrocketing, island racial riots, financial meltdown, commodities pricedown, equities market bubble burst, or mining laws changes to name a few Asiamet had to face them all. So why not coronavirus this time?
The quality of Asiamet'assets are not in question .So is there something which is holding up the development of its resources for the past 2-3 decades? Does Asiamet ought to revise its policies in the view that conditions in the world
in general are deteriorating rapidly? I believe that is where success is waiting.

Integrity is a rare commodity. Peter's departure is Asiamet's loss.

Forget about Beutong. For a long time Tony was really interested in KSK and used Beutong to get his hand on the concession.
See Tony smile. He knows now something else about KSK that tells him now he does not need Beutong. When he is ready he will probably drill those big holes and at some stage flock it for a very good price if the results are convincing.
I also suspect he will take a minority share in the Beruang Kanan district but he will want to be in control of the prospects that will follow.

The mineral resources has never been in question. Its (huge)potential has been known for over 3 decades.
So far , for one reason after another, no one has been able to go near it.
What is different nowadays for that to change anytime soon I wonder?

Blaming the Captain and crew for the lack of wind is looking at the wrong end of the telescope.
We have seen over the years one impediment after the other. Firstly logistic and extreme difficulty of access, then some Poor essays results. Then a litany of obstacles from Financial crisis, political crisis, ethnic riots, forest fire, mining legislation changes, forestry zoning changes, commodity price fluctuation, dubious board decisions, ecological constraints and the most repetitive of them , shortage of funds. There are more for sure.

If I needed to look for sign of improvement on the horizon I would have noticed that the recent small burst of wind was the result of the 2 recent company news. Both of them , in an indirect way , fair play and generous acts.
I know too well how it is unconceivable but this venture is still standing because of these and numerous similar kind of actions. Without them it would have gone without a trace long time ago.
Imo this continue to feed into the futur direction of the company.

Way back, during the earlier geological mapping activities ( may even being during the very first expedition) come a story .
It was reported that a member of the party was hit by a stone which came flying out of the woods. The jungle
people had just announced themselves. Instantly the guides advised to remain calm and not to retaliate. Instead they set out some tobacco and other goods in the jungle which were later found to have been removed. The guides explained that the stone was a question asking what was the visitors' intention and that the gifts laid out was an answer that the survey group were willing to share the result of their labor. The fact that the gifts were accepted was a sign of friendship and so all was well.
Nowadays the stones in the road are of a different nature ; if it is not too late (usually large investors do not take kindly at pushing rocks) maybe if the Company was to truly put into practice the social responsibility example of the miller's daughter or ARS's pioneers a way forward can be found.
