The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
apologies. No idea why I wrote Faisal instead of Faldi. I must add that I did once found a connection on the internet connecting
Bruce and Faldi but now cannot find it again. I am sorry if this is a mistake.
Agreed that Tony knowing what he knows would not wish to be sidestepped. But now the sharks are circling.
With what can tony keep them at bay with unless we are all standing behind him and refuse to sell our holding.
Very unlikely sadly because all people think about is their investment not the company.
Good luck to us all.
btw AE is not on the board (yet) but Bruce is ( v.hard man to stop). With Stephen & Peter gone we have Dominic who could go either side, Deo who should never have been elected, Faisal who is also looking after some of Bruce other investments I feel that Tony could find himself very isolated . Just an opinion.
RockingHorse
Certainly not following the crowd if that is what you are asking.
On the other hand i would never pretend after reading a page that i could understand the whole book.
Doing some research will help ;=)
I fully support AC83 position. Tony as CEO is much more preferable than anyone else on the current board (by far imo) .
I have mentioned here in the past that Tony had a great deal of experience and is an expert in his field but unfortunately was not convincing. It was of not great consequence so long as we remained in the shadows. Now that the company's assets are starting to crystallize attracting around it a shift in power around it is starting to appear.
If we possess a lighter we could have 2 options
one: we could benefit from a one off sale but resulting being cut off from the source of fire or
two : if we could keep it we will enjoy lighting as we wished ( for ourselves and share it if we wanted) and will have secured access to fire for a very long time to come
( I believe your great great grand kids will be grateful for your wise choice :=)
Remember what one of the earlier pioneer said about KSK " we were looking for a chicken and we stumbled on an elephant"
We have seen nothing yet!
Yes I am a little surprised that after all the anticipation and that we finally have a proposal Tony did not appear to me to display a great deal of enthousiasm . Compare it with early videos where Tony talks about Asiamet 'prospects with much more fervour and pep.
I would not welcome someone voracious on my board. Someone like that getting a sniff at KSK would spell the end of the dream.
On his last webinar Tony did seem too thrilled at the AE incoming proposal . Wondering who has the winning hand?
Thanks for your comments AC83.
I have been investing and followed this venture (KSK) for 30 +years. I believe it has potential that very few would even dream to suspect.
Over the years its share price has never being able to reflect its true value because imv people are not able to grasp its unique potential. As an indirect consequence we can observe that over the years it has had to face one challenge after another. Indeed The covid19 is just another obstacle on that long list and it certainly will not be the last one . No doubts in my mind, no matter what shape and form or who is in control of the ship .
It seems to me that it comes from the nature of the KSK futur development . No one yet know how it needs to be handled.
Mansur pointed out once in a KLG video when he said " our exploration effort and our social effort are one and the same". Inconceivable for the majority naturally. Unfortunatly. Even dimmer prospect now that we have on board v.large investors who traditionally demand their pound of flesh.
As for Beutong I myself don't ever mention it. It could become a fantastic company asset who knows?
Honestly it is of a much lesser interest to me because I always have looked at the KSK project as the epitome of game changer.
Tumb's up for your support of Tony. I hope I am wrong. Like you I thought for a while that Asiamet will make a mining magnate
out of Tony. Now I am not so sure. It looks to me that the table has turned . One should always watch who they are letting in the door.
First Stephen then Peter . Is Tony next ? Are the vagaries of this project taking its toll?
Wishing good luck to those who are going to make money , as for those who wanted to see the project get off
the ground under their watch may not be so fortunate. Nevermind, we all have to be thanked for our support.
KSK is so much more than BKM and its satellite deposits it also has a number of potentially even larger ones than Baroi . Tumbang Hoi for example. There are also (many) extremely promising evidence of gold presence. Probably why the area is named Gunung Mas Regency (gold mountain) .
Thanks to people who took time to watch it .
For the others who may say " it is the futur that matters not the past " indeed; but the past is the past it cannot be changed.
@23.04 ..if we are successful WE must consider how the company sees the fate of Gunung Mas district....( I note here
the "WE " spoken, by the local Dayak leader) ....develop Gunung Mas.....Gunung Mas means
"gold mountain" there is no other meaning ....@ 26.13...Mansur: ....it's history Bro' ..not forget that!....
I apologise if I bore you but I have always believed that this venture to be unlike anything else. The scope for extraordinary
mineral discoveries being limited by our willingness to tie our holding to the pillar of life ...@25.00
