This is all very well but no matter how sophisticated and polished an engine is, it needs energy.
Where is the fire in the belly that will get that locomotive steamed up and whistling ? or :=) the solid rocket fuel to sent it into the stratosphere?
All we can ask from Andrew is that he knows and will do his job but is that enough? On the other hand I cannot help wondering if we did not ask too much from Steve Hugues?
When I think about KSK a word comes to me "integrity" or in latin "integer" meaning whole or complete. Integrity of the project and its developers and the welfare of its people goes hand in hand. Then imho success will be denied no more.

I do not mean to insult anyone, sorry! What I am getting at is that I strongly believe that in KSK's case success cannot be in operational/financial terms only it also has to make a beneficial difference in people life. Two side of the same coin.

PutX , when you say "we all want this to succeed" you actually mean "we all want to make money" don't you just?

Maybe we could put things into perspective. Over the years it has been tried many times. Firstly Molopo than Cyprus Amax than Oxiana than Freeport and the last one , although the details about that one are somewhat opaque, Aeturnum. Then you also have DD undertaken by numerous other Companies which did fell short short for all sorts of reasons although principally for reasons other than the potential quality of the resources ie: great concerns about Political interference, racial unrest, forest fires, global financial crisis, fluctuating commodity price, mining laws changes and tenure uncertainty internal policy turn arounds or even as we saw recently people dropping out because of the pandemic crisis situation.
I do not know about you but is this bad luck , in the too hard basket or is it a case where we cannot see the forest the trees?
I have a suspicion that we might all underestimate the significance of a KSK going into production.

Situation can turns on its head any times so we are all guessing but It is probably not be such relevant in any case.
What is important is the permits. Tony should really be asking himself why it takes so long. The reasons he gives
are possibly excuses by the authorities to delay approval. Tony quotes Mansur good work. Indeed Mansur has been
consistent from the very beginning about community involvement and the Authorities are well aware of it. "our exploration efforts and our community efforts are one and the same" he strongly believed. However Indonesian people, specially Javanese are very shrewd customers. They know Mansur conviction and commitment but what about the rest of the Company ? I recon they ( and I agree with them) are convinced that the Company as a whole is not sincere enough to develop a true and wide social culture . They may think that the company is only paying lips service just to get the go ahead.
The reasons be that most ( if not all) of the community programs were started by Mansur and his KIC/KLG team. Those undertakings were started when the venture was a still a private Company and very small. Not by Asiamet. The authorities may feel that it is no longer commensurate with our shareholders standing and wait that Asiamet place a greater emphasis on its social policies.
I believe the key to success and Tony's leadership qualities will come to the fore if He is able to seek and get support from the broad membership and demonstrate wide ranging CSR programs.
The last thing Indonesia wants is for foreigners to come in, dig their ground and take all the money o/seas. We really have to
demonstrate to them that the world need their mineral resources and that the world will be appreciative.
Listing on the IDX would help but unfortunately the permits have to land before that happen.

I cannot expect anything much to happen on Tony'watch. He did bought himself the job 5 years ago but now He definitely has lost his enthusiasm . This is not the way to go forward. Sorry.

Have to disagree. Marketing/promoting what and to what end? Raising money and spend it to raise your share price or praising the management? Too clever for me. We are way past this point anyway. The Company has been around for a very long time and I don't think that after so many years there is anyone who matter in this industry who is in need to be convinced of anything except of the final act. Lets the digging starts then we shall all see.
When the digging of the pay dirt will start there will be no stopping but we are not there yet.

Tony made clear from the beginning his belief that the copper demand will skyrocket. Did he stay firm and follow and act on the strength of his conviction? I very much doubt. He gave up.. this was clear already a while back. Kalimantan takes a lot of of you. However If he had people would have recognised his foresight and beaten a path to ARS. Not the other way around.

Imo external factors like the commodities prices, the Mgt, the Gvt authorities etc.. never have much influence on ARS one way or the other.
Have you ever asked why the like of Cyprus, Oxiana, Freeport, eaturnum , JPM etc No one ..has seen any real value here to persist except us the shareholders. So... who are we kidding?

What remains however is to truly believe that we have a phenomenal resource and an equally phenomenal opportunity , if we are willing, to make a difference. Selling KSK will just hand over that dilemma , and opportunities, to the next owners.
On the other hand appointing another CEO will not change things greatly unless that person has vision , energy and integrity plus your backing. Yes us. Us the little guy who can make a difference as we see more and more proofs nowadays,
We all have experienced it. With the correct attitude doors always open. When they don't it is rather usually our ownselves which are closed.
