We could see excellent feb results and BTC over 50k tomorrow. I think that would see us at £3. 13% might be a big ask for tomorrow, but by the end of the week we could be there I think. But we’ve seen in the past how a small BTC rise has caused this to rocket. Who knows?
Hill, can you honestly say that FT article is well written? To me it comes across as an aggressive style of writing and could have been articulated better.
Her fact checking is not correct either. She puts the source for the 36% of businesses accepting BTC down to a website called 99bitcoins, it’s not, it’s from HSB who carried out a survey of around 500 companies.
The citi report is probably not the best, but it can all be backed up with cross references and all sources are clearly highlighted. It will obviously lean towards what agenda they are trying to push, but I think the FT coverage is shockingly bad IMO.
Interesting that Inner Mongolia are trying to shut down miners. F2pool have miners based in this region. Could be great news for Argo and BTC in general. Maybe one of the reasons they’ve dumped so much BTC last week.

There’s been ample opportunities over the last month to get on board and multibag. They either didn’t have the balls to do it, and are really bitter or have no interest at all. It’s sad really.

I think you’re looking at it all wrong. 1 BTC is alway equal to 1 BTC. If you compare it to other currencies then yes, the value will differ. It’s a new currency and still finding its feet. Unlike other currencies there is a finite amount, obviously at the minute more are being added through mining which will cause inflation, as seen last week.
A lot of fiat currencies are volatile as well, look at AUD/JAY, 3% change in a couple of days. If you go abroad and pay with Sterling you’ll find that you’ll pay a different price everyday for the same product.
Good read here for anyone concerned about recent drop. Interesting that $40k will be a huge support level going forward, and drop is down to profit taking.

As long as the energy is green and sustainable, what is the problem. Obviously the Chinese miners might be burning fossil fuel, but Argo has nothing to do with them. Aviation is a terrible industry for the environment, but people still fly all over the world.
