Hargreaves have an hand in delt as well I think?

I'd have thought a company declaring interest in 3 other companies would be positive on SP. Shows how little I know :D

We are the offeror and not the offeree so yeah it's us making our opening position known.

It's on the takeover panel for Delta but not for the other two.

The way I'm reading it is we have 7% in Hargreaves 4.1% in Delt and 2.4% David & Monique. These are our opening disclosures.

I think for a lot of newcomers they see the hype, here, other boards and especially twitter and then couple that with results and it is exciting so they get ahead of themselves. I did last month. I now realise that I'm in it for a while and am enjoying the learning about my investment. I've become less arsed about the SP and more arsed about awaiting news.

Obviously still get caught up in profit watching :)

Spratt - It's hard to cipher out the valuable information with the sheer volume of posts. I've spent way too much time reading this board for about a month now and at first it was really good but now it's descended into chaos to keep up with. Of course in that time I have been able to recognise certain posters names so it's easier to glance through. Also, the post was a merely an attempt at humour :)

What does ex divi mean?

Appreciate that. Gives me a bit of guidance and understanding. I'm new to the investment world fluked onto GGP and potentially this. This is still quite low so this could be the one where I can cut my teeth in actually researching whereas GGP its all been done for me so different kettle of fish.

I'll be honest I tried selling all mine this morning to lump further into GGP but it got rejected over and over.

There is a lot of positive vibes from this board for RBD but for the uneducated just following the numbers todays drop is a bit reaction invoking.

I'm trying to learn more about the company and prospects but don't have time.

Is it not 55 places from automatic entry to FTSE 250?

Because I'm new and am having a play around, I bought RBD and GGP as my first ever stocks and shares because of looking at graphs not because I have any knowledge whatsoever in them, I was then fortunate enough to see growth in what I'd bought in GGP (unfortunately at ridiculously low buy in otherwise I'd be laughing silly now) so I started paying more attention and that is how I found paddygall on twitter and then this board. Still don't claim to have any clue about half the stuff I read. As for RBD information is a little more scarce and less people talking about it so not as comfortable with it as GGP.

Anyone have thoughts on RBD? I have a small amount on them which gives me equivalent of the amount of shares I have in GGP. They've just spiked this morning which is positive. I don't know enough about them though.

You're similar to me. I decided with everything that is going then it's time to look at shares, initially looking at easyjet. Made a mistake playing with small money when having to pay 12.50 for a trade on Halifax so wasted my time there. I then found freetrade. Bought my first couple of GGP shares at 4.4p and some other low cap shares such as Reobold.

Since then I discovered paddygal on twitter and periodically increased my holding to now having 10292 at an average or 0.0872, wish I had been more brave at the beginning but hey ho. I'm 30 odd percent up from my very first foray into investing so can not complain, might not be set to retire but it's a nice buzz knowing I've fluked onto something that is going to potentially pay for a holiday or two.

It looks good, it feels good, it sounds good but there is no certainty or guarantees so fingers crossed.
