Yes, the narrative surrounding the Report is all a bit 'jam tomorrow', but the share price reaction this morning was quite mad: I had the price down 10% at 315p at 8.12am, and now it's at 352p, up slightly on the day. Crazy moves!

Mad share price reaction to the Results this morning - closed yesterday at 109p, then shoots up to 117p first thing this morning, and then straight down to 105p now.

I actually chased this one down with a top-up 2 weeks ago.... but then, learning from past mistakes, quickly changed my mind and sold the top-up, taking a 10% loss. So glad I did!
Still holding my original purchase, which is now down 70% in just 4 months... got suckered in by that multiple director buy in June - they all paid 41-43p lol!
Don't really want to crystalise my loss, but perhaps I should because this company is looking like it's priced to go under...
Anyway, expect I'm talking to myself - the only mug punter left standing!

Whatever the reason, it ain't stopping... another leg down this morning.
At the moment I'm hating being invested in UK small caps - these large random drops are very unpleasant and unnerving.
Worst of all, I just bought into this company yesterday morning!

Right. That's the more likely source of shares. Which leaves a potential 16% overhang represented by Minto's holding, assuming he still has them all and intends selling out now that he's left the business. Whatever, it sounds like positive developments over at REVB, notwithstanding that many rated Minto highly.

So did Boohoo buy Adam Minto's shares, does anybody know?
Minto quit Revolution earlier this month and holds or held 16%.

A world where - like today - the price can drop 7.5% on no news and thinly traded volumes.
A world where sentiment trumps rationality and the only thing that is predictable is that you are likely to be wrong-footed on a regular basis.
I really wonder why I invest here. The gambler in me I suppose, but the odds are stacked against long-only retail investors such as me.

Interesting deepjoy. I know nothing about boating, but I did notice the high price per unit and seemingly limited range, and wondered if that would be sufficiently attractive for boaters to switch. Of course I don't know how strong and/or price inelastic demand for these units are.
Anyway, for whatever reason, beleaguered shareholders will be relieved to see the share price do a quick pivot this morning.

I'm wrestling with the same issues.
Maybe you are becoming 'woke', but, investing-wise, I don't think yr wrong in being sensitive to ESG matters. I also thought this was one thing they were getting on top of but, as the Amati manager said, there's a weight of institutional ESG money that still wouldn't touch Boohoo with a bargepole, which is disappointing and hard to fight against.
Good luck in reallocating whatever you've managed to salvage from this disaster.

Delayed reaction. Can happen. What's yr explanation for why wizz, alone amongst the airlines, tanked yesterday?

"That article has no impact on the SP". No, none, just look at the 9% drop today! Of course it's not the cost of the 500 existing claims, that's immaterial, it's the acquiring of reputational damage of an airline that won't pay legitimate refunds. Never good, even in the world of cheapo bucket carriers.

Re subsidies and support, the company said in their update last month, as mitigating the need for the company to fund future investment: "Building in the UK on the successful UK "SuRV" grant award, and in addition attracting the significant and relevant production setup/grant assistance schemes that are available within the Company's key markets, EU, US, UK and India - in particular from the Indian government through their "Made in India" policy." So, let's hope that govt support remains available.

Spot on pf-78. The bad habit of chasing a losing share ('averaging down' sounds so much nicer!) is v common amongst investors and it's often, even usually, followed by selling tranches too early, as the investor is coloured by the experience of horrible losses and is just relieved to get rid of a few at any level of profit. Did that myself with THG recently.
I like the old quote - can't remember who it was - that says successful investing is more about how you behave than what you know.

Indeed it's like an addiction pf-78, and there's even a name for it - 'loss aversion' - the unreasonable desire to make back impossible losses - linked to the inability to admit one was wrong.
Fair to say, a good few (nameless) posters on this board are afflicted with it....
