They raised at 138p just a few months ago and *nothing* has gone wrong since. Quite the opposite in fact.
Yes they're not yet profitable, but that was known at the time of the raise, indeed it was the reason for it.

Well, no-one's having my shares, not without news that demonstrates a sudden deterioration in Saietta's prospects or viability... but it's uncomfortable to say the least being here.
As the cash won't start rolling in for a while yet, can I suggest some decent director buys as a way of giving support? Why hasn't our esteemed Chairman Mr Gott, or CEO Mr Kist dipped into their pockets? Their holdings are derisory.

Agree - REVB's new CEO Bob Holt, in particular, is a very experienced plc director with a good reputation that he will want to protect. He's the current non-exec chair of Totally plc, a well-run company which I hold shares in. I think he'll be good at clearing up past misdemeanours and ensuring the company operates correctly going forward.

Well, here we are again with the share price back down at the 12-month low, on no specific news. Particularly disappointing when the UK small cap market is predominately up since the new year. A problem with very small companies - and Arcontech is a minnow these days - is that they can be almost forgotten, certainly by most institutions, and remain 'dormant' in terms of their share price for years.
You'd think they might be rewarded for having all that cash on the balance sheet, since the absence of it has hurt sentiment in other companies, but Mr Market still not playing ball. Can we have news of contract wins please? Something to re-validate Arcontech's proposition?

So.... shorters have been reducing recently and suddenly all the negative press about Boohoo gets replaced with positive articles about how it's the 'deep value' pick for 2023 and that the share price could 'surge' in the near-term.
Coincidence or orchestrated? I think we know.

I think oversold too, which is why I took a small punt at just under 470p.

In fairness though, the whole sector's taking a hit. Largely not Saga though - perhaps an instance where the cruise business acts as a diversifier to the insurance business, as it's supposed to do?

On 04/01/23, "analysts at ShoreCap upgraded their recommendation for shares of Frontier Developments from 'hold' to 'buy', telling clients that they were anticipating record sales over the 2023 financial year and a step-change in profitability.
Their new recommendation, they pointed out, also followed a downdraft that had seen the shares drop from about 1,400.0p in November to "just" 960.0p.
To them, that marked a "notable" discount to their fair value estimate of 1,350.0p - which was unchanged - and to its historical metrics " despite a larger profile of titles and an arguably more sophisticated model".
They were also anticipating improving margins and cash generation across their forecasted period which stretched out to FY2025."

They couldn't've got that more wrong more quickly... a shocking failure of analysis! Can we assume ShoreCap are FDEV's house broker?

Surprised it (the Direct Line news) hasn't dropped Saga's share price more... not that I'm complaining.

Disappointing share price reaction to what is a decent trading update, at least as regards cost-cutting.
The revenue side is inevitably a bit depressed, but that has as much to do with the focus on profitable sales than any cost of living pressures.

I understand Saietta'a electric outboard engines are to be priced at €5,900 a pop, which seems like a lot... but, then again, I know next to nothing about the boating scene and what gets spent. A fellow on the advfn board, quoting a specialist publication, states "European boating enthusiasts buy 200,000 outboard motors for leisure purposes every year, generating sales worth $900m"... which, if true, equates to a staggering $4,500 a unit... so, not incomparable to SED's pricing. Don't think I'll be getting into boating any time soon!

If your analysis bears out, the cash pinch-point comes in early (calendar) 2024. One suspects they would have already raised before allowing net cash to dwindle to £4m.... but your point about dilution is well made.
I am paid to be suspicious and question everything - a frame of mind that has served well on the AIM market - but admittedly struggle to prevent it bleeding into pessimism sometimes!
I'm glad you didn't dwell (at all) on the Padmini agreement. Experience of doing business in India tells me that things take longer and are far trickier than expectations suggest at the outset.
It's been noted here that the unit cost of the marine engines might be prohibitive in a cost of living crisis.
Agreements are in place, this is now a "show me the numbers" story.

Well, it briefly hit 33p (!) earlier this morning and is now charging back up... shows what thin volumes can do.
Maybe that was our Xmas gift?

Load of tosh written about nurses - I'm happy to stand up for them. They're work is often very skilled and always physically and mentally exhausting, and they are underpaid for what they do.
Forget sentiment and put some micro-economics on it. If their pay and conditions are so great why are they leaving in droves, such that there's a chronic shortage of them in the NHS? It's simple supply and demand. If you want to generate a supply, you need to raise the price - i.e. their pay and conditions.
Then put some macro-economics on it. The UK spends significantly less on health services as a proportion of GDP than any other comparable country. You do, I'm afraid, get what you pay for - waiting lists and striking workers.

Recovery here is turning out to be a long old haul. Turnaround may be in progress, but it's not reflected in the share price.
Instead, I think the market is focussing on Sig's debt. It looks sustainable, but coming into a recession and with debt now more expensive, investors are thinking that it wouldn't take too much to go wrong for Sig's debt to become an issue again.
Should be an update in January, but as of now I have to admit I got this one very wrong.
