The BOD have involvement in several other companies. I would be very suprised if they even look at Vela on a day to day basis. They really are not bothered and do not even try and hide the fact they do not give a t@ss.

We could easily see 1.5p in the next few months. 7-8p is not out the question if things go to plan in the next 3 years.

Strange what a bit of confidence from the directors does to a share price. Ours don't even communicate, let alone put their own money in.

I could not agree more that the SP and lack of news regarding AZD1656 makes our investment look like a dud.
I believe that Brent Fitzpatrick is a clown and bring very little to the party, he should have been voted out at the AGM.
However, James Normand has been a succsesfull investor in the past and is highly regarded by most. In our last RNS he has said the recent results have vindicated our investment in the trial.
Surely he would not be coming out with statements like that if SGS had not told him something extremely positive.

The Board will therefore be consulting with its advisers on how it might engage more effectively with its shareholders.

Is the consultation with the advisers the same as the SGS commercial deal discussions, still ongoing?
I do not think a quarterly update with no new news is better communication with shareholders.
Our 3 BOD members really need to pull their fingers out. They are being paid handsomely for doing next to nothing.

I am fairly sure they must release the news if its available. Its deemed price sensative so must be released via a RNS.

Can't see there being much in the next quarterly update, apart from what we are already aware of.
Unless of course news from SGS drops before then.
Hope I am wrong and the news blows our socks of and makes me re-consider selling out completly. If our other shares where performing slightly better then i may have a different view. We really are holding some duffers though.

In our last RNS JN said he is still confident we will get a return on our investment. I am sure he has had a heads up from SGS how the talks are going. For that reason alone I am still in. Even if we just got our money back then that should see us back to the 0.06 range.

I am betting it cost around £20000 for 30 million shares. I am along way down as well. Would rather lose the lot than sell out at a loss now. Whilst there is still a chance of the SGS trial coming good I am staying invested. First sniff of my money back or a small profit though, I am out.

We may recover to 0.01p in time or a little quicker if the SGS deal finally gets over the line. I think most will be happy to get their money back and do a runner.

The RNS can surely only be seen as a positive. JN seems to think we will be seeing a profit back on our money. Depending on the deal, even if we just get our money back then the SP should head back to the 0.06s. Will give most of us chance to sell out at a smaller loss or may provide a solid base for new investments. Hopefully the deal is finalised sooner rather than later though, the wait has been long enough.

I have not seen that reported before Bigdave. I am no expert but surely that can't be a good thing?

Look at the state of our investments. Its difficult now to judge the worse one. Add that to the money wasted on the SGS trial and that's exactly why we are down here at the lowly 0.03s.

Wow. I did not realise that's how bad our investments had performed over the 3 week period. Also makes me glad they have not made any further investments. On the picks so far I would say the money is better in the bank. Lol

Considering how badly our investments have been doing I am suprised we have stayed in the 0.03 range. Add that to yet more silence from our BOD and a war, then I think the SP is holding up quite well. Still massively down and massively dissapointed but pleasantly suprised we have not dropped further.
