I’m very bullish here... but think some folk getting carried away. Let’s not forget, the mortgages were generating 2%+ income...

Maintain 130p target... would be great.

So.... £3bln of mortgages sold for £80m+ premium - at this level metro could sell the whole mortgage book for £400m+ profit!

So... massive capital boost, no need to worry about mrel raise!

So... loads of capital now, able to fund far more lucrative rate setter loans!

Brexit deal would be cherry on cake!

So... poor poor MR Odd one, I can smell the toast.

If a trade deal is announced this weekend you will wish you a long… In my opinion, this is the best bet.

No deal… And we’ll see a retrace on recent gains... I expect longs can deal with that eventuality.

All these months we wanted the stock to rise... but it fell dramatically. Smart folk topping up at 60p.

Now it’s rising... and bizarrely some are wanting a drop so that they can buy more cheaply?! Really, WTF?!

Imo we have risen nicely aligned to external factors and general improvement in banking sentiment - even DF saw that opportunity.

Brexit deal will boost further.., Future rises will come via more external factors e.g BoE position etc. I’m guessing 230 range in Q1...

Then... there is the metro strategy / turnaround hopefully seen to be working. Also possibility of transformational event.

You might not see these levels ever ever again.... gla

December target of £1.30, imminent imo, still maintain this could rise to circa £2.30 early next year

Part of their deal will be to align uk and eu mrel thresholds.... so we go from £15bn to €100bn.... then Biden insists we all have to align to their $250bn instead!

The interesting thing to watch is the take out value of the others... this will drive metro rerate depending on £££ spent

Personally... thinking 1.30 would be a decent end to year... 1.80 would be marvellous!

Now a bit of patience for the froth to settle...

then push on to 230 by end to Q1 2021 with expected news creating better certainty and hopefully macro level improvement and sentiment in banking sector.

Imo there’s still an outside chance of transformational news this year... but more luck that judgment!
