Top up today??

Imo, the drop is linked to the macro level doom caused by COVID position... but we’ve all seen what happens to FS stocks when that sentiment changes... and we have to think it will. Imagine the story End of Q1 position and start of Spring...

I’m pouring... who’d like a ‘top up’...

So.... great news re certification progress of the 4 layer version... only possible issue I see with the 5 layer version will be the breathability of the mask (given the extra filter layer) and whether it will pass the <69pa/cm2 requirements...

Don’t need stronger capital position... ultimately we need to increase revenues and make the business more profitable... without busting the bank with bad loan provisions.

I’m interested to know the forecast 2021 NIM and cost to income ratio,... these factors if positive will move us towards 230 range imo.

Not buying at mo.... too many other opportunities out there... so firm hold waiting for signs that dan’s strategy is working... which I anticipate we’ll get in Feb.

I’m staying bullish here until at least the feb results... but in all honesty I’m starting to eye up other banks presenting value, momentum and crucially a quality balance sheet: BGEO.L

Imo GS are in a no lose situation... knowing they can benefit from improved banking sentiment... knowing they hold a strong hand in any transformational event... and knowing there will always be a time when a hedge fund will want to borrow shares!

I’m speculating here... but just look at GS’s role in Ocado’s history... many doubted they would succeed and just look at what’s happened since! Who’s to say GS aren’t eyeing up a major play in uk banking? Metro could just be their ticket to the game!

Imo not much has changed here... in that 130s remains a reasonable value and a decent entry point... just hope it stays there.

I imagine we’ll see slow rise through to March... all linked to vaccine rollout and hopefully reducing trajectory of infections/ deaths...

With macro level improvement, I Can see this taking us to £2.30 region - I hope!

Another big swing opportunity today imo... could be a very different outcome come late afternoon

Something it up... literally! Easy 10% today from lows :-)

Wouldn’t be surprised to see 10% gain in very short order, from these levels... maybe as early as tomorrow.... Oxford news and confirmation of gov approach to mass rollout imminent...

The work has turned, the tea leaves are sitting pretty, and overall looking forward to an upwards trajectory through Q1 next year... £2.30 and I may exit :-)

Any business can walk into a transformational ‘deal’ ... but I wouldn’t be betting my mortgage on that scenario!

Can’t blame folk to cashing in on the back of major rise... each to their own... based on personal circumstances etc.

Personally speaking I was happy to see 130 for year end, let the froth settle...and realistically it will be months until we push on to £2+ imo...

Nice post, and £4 would be a just outcome here no doubt for all the great reasons already articulated...

However, we gave to consider general market sentiment and that old thing called ‘sod’s law’...

My next target here is £2.30 by end of Q1 2021
