Given that ODX haven't announced a single purchase order for any LFTs EVER (worth thinking about that for a bit), in a world apparently gagging for LFTs, I think they'll have been very happy to sign anything and get a free boost to 2M capacity into the bargain.

And no, the 250K antibody LFTs dont count, it was abingdon that signed that purchase order, and as CK himself told us, ODX did not supply the finished test.

well obviously ODX will only make 1 test for uk gov, why would anyone think differently ?, but there may not be just one uk gov test.

Well if that's the case, given surescreen has already received a purchase order for LFT tests from uk gov under the DPS, then the test is the surescreen test, and ODX has to start a TT process. However i don't believe your interpretation is correct, and given how inept the ODX twitter feed has proven, i think it's best just to discount it.

my gawd, such amateurish ineptitude, in trying to gloss over the horrible tweet last night, they can't even get the most basic information of the gov contract correct in a tweet. One has to start worrying if this (lack of) attention to detail to the twitter account is representative of the company in general.

apparently we are making bits of plastic for a real lft test producer, probably Surescreen, who as I mentioned on another thread, have their % margin redacted on the contract. They are also using gov loan equipment.

One assumes the ODX twitter feed will be quick to issue a correction if the assumption regarding the % margin is incorrect, seeing how they are quick to comment on other twitter threads. So it they don't correct ??......and there in lies the problem of having some ill disciplined person in control of the twitter feed.

here we are the 2nd week of May, and instead of banging out 2M a week LFTs be it antibody/antigen to gov/commercial, like everyone was promised, we are hanging on some trial prospects.

x100M = £374M.

If ODX's cost per test isn't £3.17, then £374M isn't attainable from 100M tests.

The facts in that RNS on the 15th on march were correct, and as it has turned out thus far, nearly 2 months on, it was right to remind that the company had not yet been advised of the test and thus could not produce anything for uk gov.

There is an argument that the tone was all on warnings, and not on the positive, perhaps it was because they knew that the £374M figure was and is unobtainable hence all the:-

"the number necessarily represents a maximum of the potential value of the contract and care should be taken not to use this number as an estimate or forecast of the actual likely value of purchase order"

and

"The value of future purchase orders may be substantially less than stated in yesterday's public Government disclosure. "

Remember on the day that the RNS was released, ODX knew the margin in the contract, we did not.

£374M is the absolute maximum. Clearly it is in ODX's best interest to big up costs, so as to get more profit in monetary terms, but the contract stipulates regular oversight of such matters.

If we go with the working assumption of 100M tests over the 2 year period, to get £374M from uk gov would require each test to cost odx £3.17.

I think you'll find that many of the 'serious' long term holders here were pleadinng and begging for ODX to go into overdrive with the twitter feed, and that was fine and dandy when they were posting rampy stuff.

The problem i see is that whoever is actually doing the tweeting is not anywhere nearly as disciplined as they should be. i hope it's not the CEO. Doesn't bear thinking about that the CEO would be using throwaway terminology about Tesla purchases to re-iterate formal company position.

AS Ella said, the GAD contract also states 18%, of course GAD is an ethically focused privately held company and has an ethos of providing tests at low cost, specifically to developing countries. ODX on the other hand is a publicly listed company and should be working with the best interest of it's shareholders in mind.

Its worth nothing that the equivalent figure in the surescreen contract is redacted.

All 3 companies are taking loan equipment from UK gov.

If the test isn't Mologic, there is a snowball's chance in hell of ODX delivering by the end of May like Lord thingy said.

There is nothing to RNS, this is exactly the same bidstat contract as we have known about for months.

According to the contracts, no purchase order will occur until ODX has successfully made 3 batches of the test. ODX can't do this until they know which test it is and TT it. If it is the mologic test, it'll be good. But if it is the Mologic test, GAD could have been making tests for UK gov since march.

As i see it, the possible scenarios are:-

1) The Mologic test is taking an eternally long time to get PHE validation.
2) Mologic test was the test of choice, but has failed PHE validation
3) There is another test that is still in design stage.

Don’t know what you’ve been smoking, but you need to cut back. Just a few days ago odx said:-

“Omega is currently using its own capacity to produce its own tests and following today's launch, the Company expects, together with the test to be licensed from the UK Government as above, to rapidly move towards full utilisation of its capacity of 2 million test per week.”

Move towards 2M when they start producing the gov test.

If you believe that odx produced 2M a week in April, and just decided not to tell anyone, you are deluding yourself, because even the company is saying they are nowhere near it. I’d be surprised if they are doing more than a few 100k a week covid lft, and most of those are just going to warehouse.
