Just wondering if the continued sets of respectable results might be putting GSK in play. Seriously undervalued compared to its peers so you could argue now might be a great time to pounce and less debt than for some time.
Really struggling to understand the fascination of this share. Moderate yield and even the likely dropping of litigation has had no effect. Continual ramping of the market after results ends in further decline. Why does the market not rate GSK, just dont get it!
Shareholder value destruction continues despite the split. She got what she wanted in a debt free enviroment and the relentless charge to zero is in full swing. God knows how she sleeps at night although maybe the reward package is helpful. Please do the decent thing and resign, the shares would gain 20% on that alone.
I think the sell off reflects the uncertain prospects and valuation of Haleon. The debt pile is a tough ask to remove and interest rates are rising. Two confirmed sellers in the background wont help and the market conditions are not great. I like new GSK as Emma as ever has set things up for her to shine.
Not looking good for the flotation . Todays drop continues the slide and having sold @1800 feeling at ease. I wonder what the indicative price is as the there must be a strong chance it will be be around 30b which makes the rejection of the Unilever offer seem crazy. We shall see and my next move will be to buy GSK when the dust settles.
Well not an easy decision but after 10 years holding I have sold. My view is that consumer business kicks off in an uncertain market with 2 sellers in place and a significant debt pile which are not going to be helpful to the SP for some time. Add to that the as yet unknown consolidation on new GSK i feel there is just too much risk in holding.
Emma has come out of all of this very well and hopefully those who continue to hold may well do well but I shall look to buy into new GSK when things get clearer even if it means paying a premium.
Yes i did think there would be some consolidation. Thanks.
Thanks.
So am I correct in saying if you continue to own 2000 GSK that after the split you will own 2000 Halogen and 2000 New GSK and their respective share prices after the split will determine any profit or loss.
Before anyone suggests otherwise I want the sp to prosper. But I am having serious concerns regarding the flotation. Does anyone think the price will reach the Unilever offer? We have a 35% holding to shed after flotation and New GSK will be sellers! I think Emma ends up with a growth stock pretty much free of debt and we end up with at best a steady cash cow crippled with debt and probably stagnant dividends. Beginning to think we have been sold down the river.
The wording from Unilever is very strong and direct. It would be a surprise if they don't up the bid at some stage.
Possibly £16.80 with some swings.Should be fun and how much is in the price already as we are always the last to know!
Dont go buying yet!
What a mess. They really need a sales force now as the government contract is dead.
Bonkers.
