Not only a decent profit but because production is outsourced it needs no expensive stock to hold or manage and consequently it's not to expensive to upscale for large orders. This could be a mega year - with more to follow!

Definitely encouraging. I'm expecting a quiet period until the May update when we will get a better picture of this years recovery and hopefully some positives on the aerospace testing. However I'm expecting losses this year so any real growth in the sp would probably occur in the next financial year on the back of aerospace sales. But if we did announce aerospace sales before September then providing the invoices were also raised we would be in profit and who-hoo!

If this year we achieve the forecast of 29Mill and make a profit of say 1 mill then a MK of 45 Mill should be achievable. Add in a new contract or two and an odd acquisition or so and this could easily rise. If 50 Mill MK is say 12p ish a share then I for one would be content and even hopeful of a token divi. However I would rather sacrifice any divi to grow the company as I intend to be here for the long haul and watch the rise and rise.

If we've doubled the 1st half year revenues then we are nearly at the whole of last year revenues! My guess is that GE has re-started its contract and there's a reasonable chance, bearing in mind the extra cost of Virginia, of breaking even at some 4/4.5 Mill. And this is without aerospace!! Happy days. Now if we could just get back to my first shares at 11p a pop, even happier!!!

Hi navigator. Yes I think that there is a reason for not releasing contract finance details - the question is what? Security could be an issue though I'm not to sure exactly why. I believe that AIM has rules about contracts over 10% of annual revenue and subsequent disclosure. Again I could well be wrong. I am frustrated by the lack of value disclosure.

The 1st half revenue figures April/September were only 2.7Mill. So the Asian contract signed 12 months ago certainly had no upfront payment. In addition unless we've raised an invoice on it then this years figures could be poor. However this new contract will ensure that our next two years figures will be mega. One decent contract a year and the profits will roll in. Yes it will be jam tomorrow as tomorrow starts our new year! As an aside this is the third contract that the company has declined to put a value on - maybe not wanting to raise expectations?

yes Roger, Advanced Coating Technology sure has grown. There are over 300 pages of suppliers and I did a rough count of SURFACE TREATMENT SPECIALISTS but only covering the companies beginning with A. of the 700 plus companies that begin with A some 19 are classed as STS's. Must be a heck of a lot of business there. (But some of them might be just Scotchguarding the seats!) Certainly looks promising

I can understand that because our year end is the same as the proposed HCP ban the announcement was cautious re revenue. I would expect that this 1st half will be a loss but hopefully as the O & G business picks up then we may break even at year end. However it would seem that we do expect to go into production before year end so the key will be raising the first invoice. Interesting times.

Yesterday I was £10 from breaking into profit! Oh dear profit takers! In spite of this there is now a momentum that with the overseas distributers and agents it almost seems as if we could make it. Interesting that there are three separate companies. I just thought that there would be the UK and Virginia. I have not seen any reference to a third company in any of the accounts. Any guesses as to what any split is?

Agree gold re tax planning. I will be buying in some 26,000 shares into my ISA on the 6th and then selling my holding which is outside my ISA. I think quite a lot of that will be going on. The only thing for me is that the lower the sp the less allowance I use. I think this years figures will stand or fall on whether or not we raise a decent invoice on the large Asian contract - Fingers crossed.

Report in Monday's Times said that rig count had doubled since Dec 16. This should improve the second half figures from the first half which I think will be a loss. Things starting to improve even without aerospace. However without aerospace we will possibly make a small loss. We really need a breakthrough. Six months to go!

I'm not to sure about a cap raise. As the monitoring division increases sales so will it need to purchase stock and pay for the various processing procedures so even when it goes into pure profit it may not be cash generative for a year or so. All three of the other arms, Aquapack, Advent and bilfinger-babcock will need to spend cash when they receive orders before they raise invoices. However we are definitely improving.

Yes Sisyphus - a good mix of vacancies which seems to suggest expansion and not replacements. I wonder if the BOD will considerer offering apprenticeship schemes. You'd think that they would have a cracking offering to get 1st class recruits. Perhaps next year if we break into profits?

Thanks for your input CV7. The AIM is fraught with losses particularly in start-ups. I've sold shares in some 35 AIM start-up companies in the last dozen years or so and I'm only 10K in the red!! Fortunately the 14 I currently hold are mostly in profit and 5 of 'em pay a dividend so I might make it ret. Sounds as if you are far more prudently invested. All the best. the dozen os im aimsome

Hi Ctw Yes what you say makes sense, the value lies in the quarry. My interest was quickened by the India contract which gives excellent forward production runs which can only help prospective customers to have confidence in the future. Will keep you posted - cheers.

Fox was tipped by Midas in MoS around a year or two ago - I think the Editor has a share! I've been following it a bit and I must say the Board does seem to keep at it and are gradually getting there. However I do accept the over optimistic statements. The downside is the MK at 15/16 Mill but as a pure punt I think it has merit. Might give it a tickle when the new ISA season opens.

Thanks Bakky both for your time and to report Simons response to your email. It does sort of say that contract details and future revenues are sort of unclear. Which leaves us with only 2.7 Mill of the 1st half years revenue with perhaps not much more in the 2nd half. This is only four weeks away - we need a big invoice. If there is not one then we have bad figures. This may sort of perhaps explains the share drop. I do think this company has an exceptionally lucrative long term future and I'm contemplating a further share purchase. One pays your money and just hopes.
