RE: Invested9 Oct 2024 09:22
Regarding POLB, I did take some off the table in the low teens and again at 11.5p, mainly because like you Ii was very heavily invested in both companies and wanted to branch out, I also fancied trying to second guess a target for HVO (especially as Biotech/CROs are tipped to do well after a lean period). Not sure it will be, but I have invested in a small Northern Ireland based CRO that has gone through a bad patch in 2022-2023, the SP has dropped and they had two raises at low levels, it has turned itself around and I view it as I did HVO at 8p two years ago , trying to find the turnaround and investing at those lowly levels is the way you make the money, but it takes a lot of research and intestinal fortitude to invest in these companies when the current holders have all turned negative and everything seems forlorn.
The CRO market is so diverse, it is hard to find comparative valuations.
HVO is ticking over nicely, POLB struggling to hold value as news flow is .barren, it has to be one to have some skin in the game as there could be big rewards if something comes off.
Trout.
