A nice contract extension and a good RNS but the share price falls. Doesn’t add up.

I like to look at it like this- every Tesco share today represents a higher percentage of the company than it did on Friday.

I have to say, I find the talk about revenue quite confused, everyone quotes different figures. I look at the annual reports and the RNS dated 11th Jan and I see it this way.
For most companies such an increase would be viewed as quite good- Happy to be corrected?

Strikes me, all that is written about unicorn companies with bloated market caps, the justification for their astonishing value is the future expectation of revenue- take Ocado and Tesla as examples of this.

Now Rolls Royce, one of British’s best and renowned tech/defence/aviation companies, caught in a pandemic that has hurt its current revenue. But future revenue is most likely going to return to pre-pandemic levels, profit will improve due to cost cutting measures. If we apply the same logic of these unicorn companies to those impacted but structurally unchanged by the pandemic then the current price is a farce. The future potential for the likes of Rolls Royce is now humongous.

Thanks all, and I also suspect the increase in 2020 and 2021 is coming from both revenue streams, although looking through the various annual reports focussing on revenue only, 2020 and 2021 growth is extraordinary- Well above anything both areas (esp. Labskin) has reported in the past 5-6 years.

I like the look of deepverge but am still trying to figure out how revenue will go from £6.1m in 2020 to a (lower) forecast of £10m 2021.

What’s primarily driving that- labskin or Modern water?
