Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Continuing the news blackout thread, doubly frustrating that my only two AIM shares have performed in the same manner over the past year, with both having striking similarities.
Both have a novel product that can benefit patients and have commercial value.
Both share prices have fallen steadily and heavily, mainly due to the CEOs making no attempt to update investors with their activities.
Both boards have seen unrest and questions being asked as to why no updates have been forthcoming.
As we all know the market hates uncertainty, leaving LTHs of both boards at the mercy of the ‘undesirables’.
However, this week the other company decided to address investor concerns by issuing the following RNS:
‘….is pleased to announce it will be presenting via the Investor Meet Company platform at 11:00 am (BST) on Friday 28 April 2023.
The presentation by….will give existing and prospective investors an opportunity to hear an overview presentation of the Company's current activities and strategy. There will also be time allocated to answering questions submitted by shareholders and interested investors.
Questions can be submitted in advance of the presentation via the Investor Meet Company dashboard up until 5:00 pm (BST) Wednesday 26 April 2023. Questions will be grouped and addressed under key themes.’
This presentation will be given by the CEO and Finance Director and, IMO, is exactly what Synairgen should already have done or at the very least should be doing in the near future before the obligatory AGM.
Conducting presentations remotely is relatively inexpensive and gives investors who wouldn’t normally be able to attend in person the chance to be involved and ask questions.
I remain convinced that quarterly updates would have gone some way to halting downward pressure on the SNG share price, so that when a re-rate occurs, it would have been from a healthier position.
The old argument that a CEO should not address shareholders unless they absolutely have to, for fear of damaging the share price has been blown out of the water by these two companies.
This is what silence does - 26p to 7p in SNG’s case and 156p to 17p in the other.
Hoping for some sort of glimpse into SNG's future from RM this week.
His appearances are becoming as rare as hens teeth.
ATVB to us all this week, here's hoping Thursday won't leave us with more questions than answers.

Sakura – I’m not here to question your credentials, CV or indeed your motives for returning to this board after such a lengthy absence.
I would have thought you had given it your best shot at educating/ warning the ‘ill informed majority’ at the time and simply left it at that.
I wonder if you give any credence to the following:
William Fischer, M.D., University of North Carolina (UNC), a lead investigator of SNG001 said: "These results, including a decrease in hospitalisations and adverse events among participants who received SNG001, are promising and warrant further investigation in a larger Phase 3 clinical trial.”
In light of this, you can probably see why your reappearance may have caused a certain degree of scepticism.
Probably best leaving us poor souls to our fate from here on in eh?
T
DocD - I have reported the post you quoted and requested the individual be banned for direct personal abuse, swearing and trolling.
Aether - As you know, the link you regularly post was originally provided by myself, along with a considered piece on the relevant subject matter.
The problem at the time of writing has largely (for now) been eradicated on this board, so no need to keep pasting at present.
IMO Mr Costs/ Macosta does not fit the criteria, but he does have a clear negative agenda - there is a difference.
May I respectfully suggest you try using the filter option yourself, it works a treat!

Professional: Not invested, not a trader, not an insider, not going to the AGM.
21 posts in a 12 hour shift yesterday shows the level of obsessive/ compulsive behaviour.
Another one with only the screen for company.
He has found a platform – It’s you! That is if you are gullible enough to open up a pointless conversation or tick his posts.
I took him off ‘filter’ to see why GGGG21 was showing an interest, but of course it was another chain pulling exercise designed to keep the attention seeker front and centre of the board.
Back on filter again, I suggest you do the same, then he will leave and pretend to be invested somewhere else.

During the dark days of Winter, I posted a couple of times that I didn’t expect any significant news to be announced until the daffodils were flowering.
Well, spring has sprung, the bears are out of their caves and the animals are out of their burrows, but there is one species who hasn’t yet made his appearance.
That most secretive of all creatures, the lesser spotted Marsden.
Rarely seen on our shores anymore, this shy, hairy fellow has occasionally been spotted in North America over the past year, but must now surely come out of hibernation and make his long awaited UK appearance.
The LSM might explain to his patient collection of ‘mushrooms’ why the share price has risen over 80% in a week, preferably before the May blossom is out.
I’ve invited the BBC Springwatch team down to Southampton to film the occasion, just in case the LSM’s snout pokes out of the ground. Rare footage indeed for the archive.
Maybe the mushrooms will be allowed to see the light soon?

Good to see you posting here gg - Novacyt, Synairgen and now Angle.

wpa5 – Re your comment @ 12.04:
‘I don't know which I hate the most ... the cyclical return to BB infighting and Pythonesque taunts or the deathly silence when everyone turns off for 24 hours..’
It’s frustrating to see the ‘usual suspects’ suckering genuine posters into pointless bickering over the last week or so. These individuals should really be on everyone’s ‘filter’ list by now.
All I can see are half arguments, so I took three of these off filter for 24 hours and was surprised to see experienced posters still falling into the same old trap.
AndyBe4, Fanifesto, Scinv – All posting stuff (anything) to generate a reaction, keeping them front and centre of the board, in order to maintain their own false sense of importance.
The content is irrelevant, just so long as you keep arguing, so they can tell you how right they are and how wrong you are in a condescending, belittling manner.
The first started their response with, ‘Shut up you child’.
Do you speak to people like that? Of course you don’t.
The second subconsciously admitted what their primary objective is by replying to a respected lth with, ‘I thought you had filtered me.... No you were just trying to make out my opinion did not matter.’
There you have it from the horse’s mouth, all that matters to these people is ‘that my opinions matter’.
These could be positive, negative, cross ramp – Anything, just so long as you keep replying.
The third, well where do you start with this fellow? Suffice to say I have asked for his removal once more, explaining that LSE had already banned him for unacceptable behaviour a couple of years ago.
Shunt these three into the sidings with all the other irrelevants, they really are not worth your keyboard time.
They have zero interest in your views, I suggest you reciprocate with immediate effect.
Use the filter option and turn their words into green rectangles.
These are now back on my filter list of 38, start compiling your list today, it’s very therapeutic.
I believe SNG are coming into the vital ‘make or break’ phase of development, so this is no time to tolerate antagonistic narcissists.
Joe Walsh debut album – 1976 – ‘You can’t argue with a sick mind.’

Professional @ 18.55: 'Just not acceptabele'.
Neither is your spelling.
Probably getting mixed up with the Barcelona winger Dembele.
Also, I go away on holiday for a couple of weeks and notice with dismay that the board have let the 'worst of the worst' slyly wriggle his way back into the fold.
I successfully requested his account be deleted two years ago, but of course he showed his utter contempt for you and LSE by signing in with a barely disguised username '-temp.'
Claims to have 15 years experience in drug research and development, but can find the time to type 89 posts in 30 days, purportedly from his central London garden on sunny days - Of course he does, of course he does..
The drug development will most likely be weed grown in his Bermondsey basement flat (sorry Bermondsey).
STOP engaging with this individual, he will drag you into his nasty little vortex and you really don't want to go there.

From January’s RNS:
‘The management team is focusing the Company's resources carefully and expects 2023 to be a further year of progress for ANGLE in preparation for rapid expansion’.
I thought the ‘rapid expansion’ was relating to Angle finally selling one or two Parsortix cassettes in clinical settings around the world, in order to make a profit.
Turns out AN was referring to the number of shares in issue going forward into 2023. I must have misunderstood the context - Stupid me.
T
Macosta -
You have a perfect right to air your views on here - no one would deny your right to free speech, even if your view conflicted with others.
The issue is you air the same view 15 - 20 times a week, clogging up the board with repetition.
Imagine what this board would look like if we all posted the same viewpoint as often as you - the board wouldn't be worth trawling through on a daily basis.
The frequency of your posts gives the impression you have personal issues with your financial loss or that you have an agenda.
'Less is more'.
T
Macosta –
‘very successful in all aspects of life’. Apart from the aspect of ‘anger management’.
Just 15 negative posts this week.
If you sell some of your 500,000 shares you could go to anger management classes, then you wouldn’t need to spend so long on here and you could be even more successful in other aspects of life, like stock picking for example.
I don’t think you will be totally fulfilled until you witness Richard Marsden strapped to the main mast of a burning barge, being sailed down The Solent and into The Channel.
This is AIM and if you didn’t take out a portion of your profits or at the very least your original investment on the spike, you only have yourself to blame.
Only you press the ‘buy’ and ‘sell’ buttons, take it on the chin and move on or sit tight and see what happens like 99% of the board, but for goodness sake stop with the agenda driven rhetoric.
We ‘get it’, you’re unhappy – we’re unhappy.
I have my filters back on and I’d hate to add you to the list.
DocD –
Don’t poke the old trout, it will only start posting again.
Lost to Ghia – Outed by my associate – Dumped by Tommy - Ouch.
Remind me of Aether’s catch phrase again.
By the way, totally agree with your current assessment this week.
The pub beckons, you two have a good evening.
T
Who do you take your advice from?
A –
William Fischer, M.D., University of North Carolina (UNC), a lead investigator of SNG001, "These results, including a decrease in hospitalisations and adverse events among participants who received SNG001, are promising and warrant further investigation in a larger Phase 3 clinical trial.”
Or B –
A man/ woman – who is in/ out (shake it all about) – who could be short/ long – posts in the middle of the night because of the predictable restless mind, purportedly living in another time zone.
IMO, one of only two remaining narcissists who are now mercifully only bit-part players on this board.
Your choice.

8 posts today, 6 revolving around Macosta and 2 relating to 'Professional'.
A long way down from the days of Matml74 – Schrow - Size82 – GGGG – Matterhorn – JoeyDiamond - WedMee et al.
I'll re-post this one liner from a couple of months ago and pose the question, 'If you looked at SNG for the first time today and have done your due diligence, would you invest a chunk of your hard earned folding tomorrow at 08.30?'
Xviolet:
‘If you hadn't invested previously….the risk/reward case right now is quite something.’

Thanks to Doc83, DocD, Ghia, Dudio, Fruits and TommyD for taking the time to offer your views regarding the differing timeline question I posed last evening - appreciate the healthy exchange of views and debate.
DocD - Before the shenanigans start again tomorrow, your recent heartfelt summary regarding the make up of this board was spot on and put into words what I suspect many think of the current situation.
Tense times - Hopefully the vacuum of silence will be filled with news sooner rather than later.

Aether:
Malevolent – Certainly not.
Using online bullying tactics in a vain attempt to gain the upper hand, shouting phrases you wouldn’t dare use face-to-face, insisting on the last word – Definitely.
I guess you missed the list of direct abuse I posted the other day that was quickly deleted.
Imagine what this board would look like if we all conducted ourselves in such a manner.
IMO, board members should stop turning a blind eye and take a more active role in reporting such posts, in order to curtail such unacceptable behaviour.
As you know, over the past week I have tried to raise awareness of the problem and listed the tell-tale signs, as I believe SNG are entering a crucial phase and we should be supportive and generally respectful of one another, despite having differing opinions. I would offer The Paladin's style of posting as an example.
Last week you have encapsulated all I have tried to explain in one sentence.
‘He doesn't care what attention you give him as long as it is attention.’
Once all posters realise this, they can take appropriate action i.e. NEVER engage in conversation and either report and/ or filter.
I’m putting my filters back on next week, last year I unfiltered everyone in order to give full access to one of my colleagues as part of her studies in human behaviour. Plenty of material on here and three other chosen pages!
Believe me, this board looks so much better with a sea of green boxes at the end of the day. You will also find a better standard of conversation, having filtered out the dross.
For your own mental wellbeing I politely suggest you now also make a start by using the filter option. You’ve put a good shift on here over the past year, but at some point you have to think about yourself and blank these people out of your daily life.
The Mon-Fri crew seem to work in tandem and trying to police the situation more or less alone will eventually take it’s toll. Hoping, but not expecting calmer waters on here next week.
ATVB T
My last piece on this subject. It will be deleted, of course.
During the last seven days I have highlighted the need to be aware of the flawed characters that frequent this board and listed the tell-tale signs to look out for, in order to involve the majority in maintaining the standard of discussion and debate.
Only by sidelining these individuals will your board return to a place where you can gain those valuable nuggets of information we all require, in order to make rational investment decisions.
A coincidence this week that long time poster Ghia told us he has now sold out of this share for now, as he expects the share price to fall further in the immediate future.
Whatever your views on this particular poster, his prediction over the summer that this was ‘a bottom drawer stock’ and that there would be no development or uptick in the share price proved to be 100% correct, a fact that has been conveniently ignored by one who took the wholly predictable opposing view.
Many will have witnessed the unsavoury abuse he endured over the summer, it was to his credit that he didn’t retaliate, but sadly made the mistake in engaging in regular conversation and paid the price.
I’m hoping after this week’s offerings and links, this won’t happen to any of you again.
My midweek post listing this abuse was very swiftly deleted, no one likes to see their dirty laundry hung out on the washing line for all to see. Interesting that the moderator didn’t see fit to delete the same list when requested, a clear case of double standards.
You may have noticed that ‘TommyD’ has finally seen through the mist and has now filtered the same individual, the penny having eventually dropped. He ended his last post to said individual with ‘filtered’, but predictably he was not allowed the last word, even though he couldn’t read it.
In my opinion, these individuals should be sidelined. This type of behaviour is not tolerated out in the real world, the same should apply here.
Finally, anyone who posts the same view in a repetitive, attritional style several times a day and confronts anyone with an opposing view using ridicule, belittlement or abuse should be totally ignored and filtered. All my filters will shortly return to ‘on’.
Again, courtesy of my colleague, above is a summary of individual posting history, in order to emphasise how one individual can distort the genuine sentiment surrounding a particular share by saturating a board on a daily basis over a prolonged period.
Fruits and Ghia -
Interesting that you both have differing timelines re the next announcement.
Would either of you care to expand on your reasoning behind when you think the next development might occur?
I would be good to hear your views on this and put some flesh on the bones so to speak.
I think the majority of the board would say, 'How long is a piece of string?'
Any extra insight from both would be most welcome.
ATVB T
Thanks to Brand and Wigster for this insight - much appreciated.
The plot thickens - Both frustrating and intriguing trying to read between the lines.
Trying to look though the frosted glass windows down in Southampton isn't easy, hopefully we'll get some answers sooner rather than later - 'All good things...'
ATVB T
‘Professional’ - 22 posts this week.
I would have thought a trader who claims to make £500 per day trading this stock wouldn’t have the time to post over 5 times per day.
I’m told most successful traders are generally glued to 3 or 4 screens most of the day, so wouldn’t have the time or inclination to ‘contribute’ to a UK pharma minnow chat room, especially when supposedly residing in The Netherlands.
Hopefully some of this week’s £2,500 profits could be spent on some spell check/ syntax software.
Ended a post today at 15.57 with, ‘I am all balanced’.
On the evidence provided this month, I’m not convinced.
Repetition of the same attritional mantra, attempting to goad and belittle those with an opposing view, no research or insight.
Desperately trying to stay front and centre of the board.
Is this regular pattern of behaviour sounding familiar?
To Aether:
‘and if you talk about me. Also not mentally ill.
But will give you your second cookie. Good boy’
To TommyD:
‘Lets go Tommy. Pump and dump.
Can not make this up. What a guy lol’
Is this how you talk to people in general conversation?
Would he or she speak in this tone face to face?
Of course not.
But online, behind the safety of the keyboard, it’s all good with the moderators.
Abuse, ridicule, belittlement, repetitive attritional comments –
Hundreds of posts all containing the above are routinely ignored by the moderater of this board, but as soon as this type of unacceptable behaviour is listed in isolation, it is reported and deleted.
The truth hurts, especially when it is exposed for all to see.
Without education and awareness this behaviour will continue on this and indeed other boards until we stop turning a blind eye. Simply shrugging our shoulders and doing nothing won’t do in 2023.
It takes less than a minute to report and flag up this type of behaviour, if enough do so your board may return to some sort of balanced debate and normality –It’s up the majority to make a difference.
Looking at this page since the start of 2022, it’s no wonder so many intelligent posters chose to leave and no longer contribute their wisdom and intellect.
A sad state of affairs.
