I come across quite a few news article regarding different companies Covid breathalysers and once you get past the "Ground breaking, revolutionary etc" headlines, It's the same old story..."their research shows, stage 1 trials to commence, <80% accuracy." DV are in the background, quietly working away and close to completing MicrotoxBT. I don't believe they're being ignored but customers need to see facts and figure before they commit themselves. I find it very encouraging that our partners Aptamer Group are having their products tested by the UK government, it'll save a lot of time for them once BT is ready to go.

The National Public Health Emergency Team (Nphet) has recommended that local authorities test wastewater around the country to check for the presence of Covid-19.

Scientists at University College Dublin (UCD) are already testing wastewater samples collected from Ringsend in Dublin and treatment plants in Enniskerry and Bray, Co Wicklow.

Also, the study team said it is challenging to distinguish the Covid-19 genetic signal from the billions of bacteria and viruses people excrete every day. Researchers must identify the correct viruses “amidst a whole soup of other genomic material”.
