I think the direction of travel in the government health plan will be about encouraging behaviour change like healthy lifestyles but that's already happening. Those most at risk don't necessarily adopt healthy lifestyles. I think having a stroke does focus the mind! I guess I am very encouraged by how many at risk people this will engage with. 250000 in the first year, 1 million in 4 years if they follow through of course. As the evidence of success mounts the other 15 million at risk comes into focus. My guess is a Labour government will extend the approach if seen to have an impact. More people who have had a small stroke will be detected. Anyway, we are some way off the market seeing this potential obvs. And we have the Riverfort plan helping to suppress the sp for now. So I guess I can wait for my SIPP funds to arrive in their own good time😆

The article OGM shared is more interesting from our point of view imo. The Guardian article confirms the approach. Once you start getting at risk people getting tested more of them get into the system at the point where early intervention can save lives. Which is why Genedrive's test could fly, if we stay ahead of the competition and get to the market in time for this initiative. Millions have some high risk factors for stroke or heart disease according to the gp online article. So demand could quickly grow when health professionals see the benefits of this approach. Savings could be massive. You're stopping people from having a heart attack in some cases not just waiting until the crisis is acute. In other cases it will be a case of enabling early intervention. Though it looks like the trial will start off in acute settings.

In a context where the government has finally committed to early intervention and prevention in health care and specifically to stroke management tests for 1 million people at risk of a stroke and other related health issues to take at home after referral from their GPs. And we have the best stroke management test in development according to NICE, the relevant authority to advise on NHS commissioning. Hello 👋

Well that Guardian article has certainly cheered me up. Tempted to sell everything else I'm in to add to my holding here. If it ends up being ours, this will rocket. Only one other contender that I know of -NICE tested 2 products and Genedrive as usual had close to 100% accuracy and at £100.00 a test were also the cheapest. Don't know why I'm sharing these thoughts before I have found some more funds😆

Pretty much everything expected and promised is materialising. This funding pays for an early introduction for the stroke management test into the NHS. It will be successful. The test is 99% accurate and bests the competition on both price and effectiveness, hands down. They will learn from this exercise and be able to offer a complete practice guide for using this test in any relevant context in any country in the world.

We know too that Genedrive are coming out on top of lab based options and vs the one other competitor in the running, for the NHS stroke management test. We just have to wait for them to complete their own evaluation. This could be an RNS in itself. Likely to be excellent results- 99% sensitivity and specificity so far. Likely to be followed by UKCTA approval. Likely to be followed by other international approval including from the FDA. Sales during and after. True that Genedrive's evidence base is not complete. The NICE report acknowledges that and we all know it. Page 164, and tables 40 and 41 show there modelling for Genedrive's sensitivity and specificity at 99% vs 98% for the only other POCT under assessment atm. Genedrive tests for more LOF alleles. This is relevant because some key LOF alleles are have higher prevalence amongst Asian people, who in turn have a relatively high level of strokes in the UK. Genedrive is identified as being nearly half the cost of the other Poct at £104 vs £198 and faster to produce results at 40 mins vs 1 hour. Genedrive can share data with the NHS at once due to built in functionality. This is seen as important in making the most of the key objectives for the test ie. saving lives and improving quality of life. Because once we get one stroke our risk of getting another is much higher so data sharing, and being visible in the system makes a difference.

The report acknowledges when Genedrive's evidence comes in, their findings will reflect this. Genedrive have proved twice over that they can produce tests of very high quality. They aren't promoting this NICE report if they don't feel very confident that they are hitting the ball out of the park with the test results.

The report says Genedrive started their formal evaluation in Q1. Shouldn't be too long to wait.

NICE are still in public consultation on this. All organisations and firms are subject to due process. It's a great endorsement. Not long to go. Shame there's so many trolls active on GDR. Hey ho. They won't stop this rising like a phoenix from the ashes once those firm commitments start flying in. A lot of investors are nervous in a bear market like this. Understandable.

It does offer a window of opportunity for those who can smell the coffee to get some funds lined up. I will probably end up paying 35p for my next buy, by the time my funds come in knowing my luck! 😆

It isn't hype when NICE, the significant body for standards for UK health services, recommends a stroke marker test as the best available, far outclassing available alternatives, and says their final report will be recommending NHS trusts buy it- 'to save lives and to save money'.

The market doesn't want to get in yet for the inevitable UKCTA and FDA approvals. Punters will chance it and leave it as long as they dare. Before too long iis will be in and PIs will have lost the chance to buy at a g8 price. I am waiting for my SIPP funds to transfer to a sharebuilder SIPP. I will definitely buy more when new funds land whatever the price is then. I think we'll start an upward trajectory soon enough. And it will continue strongly as the newsflow progresses.

There will be worldwide demand for this product. Governments will expect their health services to buy it because the public everywhere will expect it once there's better information about it. Gla.
