Rosprirodnadzor takes away the license from Kosvinsky Kamen for violations during subsoil extraction
The company made a deviation from the project when extracting precious metals.
Inspectors of the Ural Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor, within the framework of federal state geological control, checked compliance with mandatory requirements in relation to Kosvinsky Kamen CJSC, which mines precious metals at the Tylay-Kosvinsky deposit in the north of the Sverdlovsk region.
As a result of the control and supervisory activities, specialists identified signs of violation of subsoil legislation committed by the subsoil user. In particular, the company violated the clause of the subsoil use conditions, in particular, did not complete the scope of work on mechanical core drilling established in the project document.
The department sent a warning to JSC Kosvinsky Kamen about the inadmissibility of violating mandatory requirements. In addition, the materials were sent to the central office of the Federal Service for Supervision of Natural Resources to make a decision on the early termination of the right to use subsoil.
Earlier, Pravda UrFO reported that Kosvinsky Kamen mines platinum group metals and gold in placer deposits. Two years ago, the subsoil user also faced claims from the Federal Tax Service, which revealed an underestimation of the coefficient when calculating tax payments, which led to multi-million additional charges.
According to the Kontur.Focus system, the co-owners of Kosvinsky Kamen CJSC were Eurasia Mining Service CJSC with Cypriot roots and the Yuzhno-Zaozersky Mine production team of prospectors. At the end of 2023, the company's revenue amounted to 60.4 million rubles, net loss - 688.6 million rubles.
