"Will we see the market split in price between class I nickel for batteries and lower quality options reserved for steel refining? BNEF thinks so, but we haven’t seen it yet. They think prices will continue to hover around US18,000/t this year. Going forward the nickel sulphate market – that is the kind of nickel chemical prepared for lithium ion batteries – has had its shift into deficit delayed by the Chinese auto markets pivot to cheaper but less efficient lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery chemistries. In BNEF’s high LFP replacement scenario the cheaper chemistry’s share of the stationary storage market would climb from 23% to 53% by 2030. Nickel rich battery cathodes will still be adopted at pace though, with BNEF predicting the market may slip to a 128,000t deficit around 2024."

It's simply a rinse and repeat operation. Bell has got the process down to a fine art. It gives him a comfortable lifestyle, will give him a comfortable retirement and will leave a lot of investors very much the poorer. He produces no real value but merely offers up the opportunity to make a bit on any rise. The problem with this operation is while it might make a few pence for the lucky few it ultimately results in the many being fleeced as most of the money ends up with wonga lenders or wasted on Bell fantasy projects (plus of course his salary, expenses and pension).

It goes back even further than that. DNi, Mambare, Lake Johnston, Kambalda, Bundarra, Oracle coalfields, Thar coalfields. Some of these project were Regency Mines but they're still Bell's. Anything that fat muppet touches turns to mush. The man is toxic.

You're right, I didn't think it a particularly good result given the apparent size of the resource. It was, if memory serves me correctly, sold at a fairly early stage in the development cycle which didn't do it any favours. That and the copper price at the time wouldn't produce a particularly good result.

The nickel price is far more favourable for a KM sale and Amur will have ticked off a lot of the stages that IG Copper didn't prior to selling Malmyzh. As with so many things in life timing is key. Anything north of $200m and I'd be happy. The further north the happier.

Go check on the copper price at the time Malmyzh was sold. It was around half of what it is now.

I read it differently. I see this statement as confirming that they've leaving more in the pot for a buyer to discover. This is similar to what TB did at IG Copper when they sold Malmyzh to the Russian Copper Company. A buyer is getting what has been confirmed plus future potential.

For me it’s quite simple. I look at other junior explorers in the nickel space and I compare them to Amur, Horizonte being an example. I then ask myself one simple question, given the relative differences between these nickel explorers is Amur lagging in terms of its MC and the answer, IMO, is no.

Given where HZM is at in the development cycle if their MC is £110m then Amur, in relative terms, is doing well at £24m.
