We saw the same share price movement happen last Thursday and the day after. The hot money knows news is due and a popular time to release good news is by RNS first thing Monday morning. If we don't get an RNS on Monday the modest gains today, as well as the gains we are likely to see tomorrow, will dribble back down.

On the other hand if an RNS does arrive Monday morning......... :-)

That doesn't explain why they do it every month. AIM Rule 26 only required it be done every 6 months. I'm not aware of any other company that updates on a monthly basis share holding numbers.

Does anybody else find it odd that nothing on the Amur web site seems to be upto date yet they update the significant share holder figures every month without fail?

Updated figures show the "Remaining Shareholders/Other Share Holders" total up, yet again, by almost 7.5m. The total under this heading has gone up by 40m in the last 4 months. Against a backdrop of all the nominee accounts, apart from Lawshare Nominees, falling over the same period it seems odd. Probably still a bit premature to claim that somebody is accumulating but its starting to look that way.

Another thing to note. Warrants outstanding has gone up by 9,290,324 shares. I'm not aware of any new warrants being issued since last month. Does anybody else know where these warrants have come from?

A waiver of the 30% requirment to offer is not uncommon. Furthermore it merely requires the holder of 30%+ to make an offer it does mean any offer made has to be accepted. I think we're getting hung up on this issue. Other larger holders together with PIs can easily vote down a derisory offer.

Here in the UK "open offers and rights issues to all shareholders will generally constitute "offers to the public", thus requiring publication of an FCA-approved prospectus."

Just becuase they've issued a propectus doesn't mean to say there's going to be and open offer or rights issue. The principal, however, is the same, its a regulatory requirement prior to. Prior to what is the unknown.

Somebody else travails negotiating the approvals labyrinth don't necessarily transfer over to anybody else. Timescales in the mining industry are project specific. That could mean, of course, that Amur takes an awful lot longer to get there TEO approved than everybody else. I would hope not.

Its not. Eurasia were awarded a mining license in October 2015 for WK. They then proceeded to enter into a contract mining agreement with a contractor on a 65/35 split, if memory serves me correctly, for the 2016 season which only lasted 1 season. They then engaged another contractor for the 2018 season (I think) this time on a 70/30 split. That too also only lasted one season.

A TEO needs to be approved by GKZ or TKZ in Russia before mining can commence. Given that Eurasia started contract mining at West Kytlim in 2016 it implies their September 2013 TEO submission must have been approved prior to 2016. How long prior is difficult to say since everything they do/say is very opaque.

I'm not aware of anything like a day, month, quarter or even which year we might get news. That's not to say that somebody else might know.

I think the problem with the mining industry is its track record; a litany of environmental disasters plus a failure to clean up after themselves. There's little trust out there that the industry can be relied upon to behave responsibly and lets face it politicians are beholden to their NIMBY constituents.

Page 273 has some interesting observations on future potential metals demand. It arrives at the same conclusionthat Tesla and other OEMs have reached and that is "To satisfy the mass market, EVs don't need extreme range, they need low cost, and higher manufacturing volume."

The trade off will be LFP batteries for the mass market, lower range but lower cost, and nickel rich, mass efficient, alternatives with higher energy density for longer range but at a relatively higher cost.

Cheer up JB, it's Friday. The weekend beckons and Christmas is just around the corner. Amur not playing out the way you hoped or as soon as you had hoped is frustrating but that's the market for you. Demand for nickel is far healthier now than it has been for quite some time. As a result Amur's chances of doing something worthwhile have improved significantly.
