I think its a little bit more nuanced than that. AISC, grade, jurisdiction as well as hitting stated targets at all important factors in determining a gold miners share price. When you then add into the mix the location and what Goldcorp pulled off in Red Lake you can see why there might be more to the whole story than just what's being produced.

It was all looking rosy 12 months ago until the piggies started gorging at the trough, tagets were missed, giveaway fund raising was dones,the ASIC figure was blown out of the water and and production flatlined. It doesn't take much to go from hero to near zero in this game as you know. Likewise in the opposite direction.

Start ups are never easy, there's always going to be something, in this instance more than one something, that doesn't go according to plan. With luck the startup teething problems are now resolved and its simply a case of onwards and upwards. If the high grade 8 Zone returns the grades we hope and is bigger than expected (currently 300k oz. at an average of 21g/t) then this will turn around soon enough. If we get the added bonus of a BOD clear out at the same time then even better.

As for your current valuation, can't disagree with that.

The trades, to my mind, look more like impatient and bored PIs with few small funds thrown in for good measure.

We will look back on the current share price in 12 to 18 months time and wonder why we didn't dive in head first.

I can't see why the new II's and existing II's in the last fund raise would dispose of any of their new 6.5p and 7.0p shares are current levels, can you?

I'm not sure how you compare one project which is a resource all in the inferred category with another which is partly a reserve, partly a resource which is predominantly in the indicated and measured categories.

It's not just about grade either. There are so many factors to consider. I think you need to assess a project on its own merits.

A sober assessment as usual. The hype surrounding what's in the ground and what's expected to be discovered in the ground is what's carried this one up. Add to that Anglo's involvement, and to a lesser extent Sprott, and you can see why many might have been blinded by the light. The fall from grace, however, has been the result of a combination of things. Poor start- up, an unexpected equity fund raise, failure to meet production targets, key staff resigning (fired), incompetent management (who seem to spend more time blowing their own trumpets than they do getting things on track) and most of all the "piggies" with their snouts in the trough being rewarded despite their abject failure to perform.

A clear out at the top is long over due at Pure. It seems, however, that it's only likely to happen once the "piggies" have emptied the trough. It's too much to hope that they might choke in the process I suppose!

No it's not. Cost over runs on large CAPEX engineering projects a legendary. There's nothing to say Horizonte will not experience some hiccups along the way and if they do, with the way the funding deal has been structured, the penalties could be punitive.

I expect to see a flat share price with a modest rise over the next 18 months or so until it all starts to look like major delays/cost over-runs have been avoided. We shall see (relatively) soon enough.

For me this is the stand out bit.

“Indonesia has been talking about banning exports of nickel products containing less than 70 percent nickel and the Philippines has recently relaunched a bill to possibly phase out ore exports in the same manner as Indonesia did to encourage domestic processing,” he said. “Either of these could have a significant impact on nickel supply.”

If either, preferrably both, come off then its anybody's guess as to where nickel might end up.

Opening Stock - 107,754 tonnes
Live warrants - 59,064 tonnes
Cancelled warrants - 48,690 tonnes

Today the total has dropped by a further 756 tonnes to now stand at 106,998 tonnes. Despite the falling nickel price this last 7 to 10 days or so stock of class 1 nickel in the LME continues to fall if at a somewhat reduced rate than previously.

The falling price was to be expected given the ramp up in production coming out of Indonesia. The big unknown here is whether this will increase the likelihood of a more formal divide in the market for the different nickel products.

I think you're kind of missing the point. Exercising options is one thing. Selling some of these options straight away is another. What does that say about potential news flow going forward? He may have sold for tax reasons but if he had faith in the 8 Zone and the impact that was going to have it would surely more than compensate for any advantages selling now?

This year has been poor for Pure by anybody's standards. Investors have had a right good kicking. Surely it's not too much to expect directors to take one for the team as well? A director selling shares now sends out the wrong message.

I get that but after a poor start up and after last years profit taking by directors, all of which contributed to a plunge in the share price and a real kicking to sentiment, you'd expect them to forgo dipping into the trough for once. Expecting them to feel a bit of pain like the rest of us is not too much to ask. Especially when you consider that the 8 Zone is ray of light on the horizon that's going to turn things here around. They're not displaying much faith that the 8 Zone will reverse matters if they're selling now.

As for bleating you might enjoy bending over and taking one without complaint. If you do that's your choice not mine.
