You will not have a very long wait if Amur doesn't proceed with fulfilling the conditions of the license. They have to submit a "mining plan based on the GKZ stated reserves to be approved by June 2022 (Extended one year to June 2023- RNS dated 16/02/2021)". If they don't do that, and I'm not sure they can afford to, then the license is forfeit.

This idea that Amur can wait this all out until the situation in Russia improves is profoundly misplaced.

You can do it via secure message but given that the circular hasn't been posted yet with details of the resolution(s) to be voted on (probably only one) I think it best to wait until that has been released. Interactive usually produce a form that allows you to vote electronically so maybe wait a day or two for that to appear.

The 8th. August RNS says the company will put a copy of the circular on their web site. It should include details of the resolution(s) to be voted on but I don't think this has been released just yet.

I wouldn't research the history of HPAL if I were you. It's not a happy one.

Some on here will argue that we're on second generation HPAL and all the problems that used to be experienced have been ironed out. There is little or no evidence that I can find to corroborate that view. HPAL is still and expensive, time consuming and difficult process to master but potentially very rewarding for those who getting it right.

Bringing on board a partner for Vermelho would be the sensible way forward.You're right, production in 2025 is not going to happen.

Is that when construction will start or is that when they expect production to start? 3 1/2 years from now to the end of 2025 isn't enough time to complete a DFS, raise finance and complete the build so I guess the 2025 is when construction is schedued to commence but I'd expect an HPAL plant to take longer than 2 years to build, commission and bring up to nameplate. Araguaia is a two year build and that's with a relatively tried and tested RKEF technology. Then again if Vermelho is a year longer so what!

The issue is much simpler than that. It’s simply a case of preference. Would you prefer to live in a Western democracy or an Eastern dictatorship? The issue of who did what is irrelevant.

As for Libya Gaddafi sealed his fate when he considered buying what Abdul Qadeer Khan was offering. I don’t know about you but I’m glad we don’t have the equivalent of a North Korea on our doorstep.

What makes you think it's different anywhere else? In Russia it might be more brazen but Glencore, Rio Tinto, Beny Steinmetz, Vale they're all at it.

You can't blame them for taking advantage of an opportunity when it presents itself who wouldn't? The fact of the matter is our options are limited. If there's nobody else in the frame, and at the moment it's doesn't look like there is, then it's a take it or leave deal. If we leave it we are likely to end up with the middle of a Polo mint.

This looks to me like this is the best we're going to get. Waiting for somebody else to come along and offer more is a gamble. The Chinese might enter the fray then again they might not. The old "bird in the hand is worth two in the bush" saying springs to mind.

Something is better than nothing and there is, as Geng rightly pointed out, the residual value of the listed entity with its cash in the bank of around $10m (another 05p to 0.6p per share).

Its going to be a real kick in the nuts accepting 1.8p (plus whatever else the listed entity settles at if you decide to bail completely) but at least you can move on and try your luck elsewhere.

That's my view at the moment but that may change over the weekend.
