Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
The risk of the share price rising too high is the exodus of Rolls-Royce staff taking early retirement. A lot of people have got their calculators out lately and that includes some of the best engineers I’ve had the privilege of working with.
I’d agree that Tufan comes across as a better businessman and has instilled some much needed focus and energy. However, I’d say we’re 18 months off being able to judge his true performance.
Warren implemented the right measures to sort out the Trent 1000 fleet issues. Tufan is simply reaping the medium term benefits of those decisions and being somewhat disingenuous in his propaganda.
You’ve more to thank Warren East and the emergence from COVID for the hike in the share price. I’d be careful with regards the polishing of Tufan’s halo.
Personally I’d ignore Mr Clarke’s comments. Emirates are a valued R-R customer as are all the other operators. Indeed there is a lot of emphasis across the business to improve time-on-wing capability by various improvement opportunities and make the best civil aero-engines even better.
HardRockin is more or less spot on. The monthly share scheme is limited to £150. The other scheme is typically bi-annual. The last one was held 15 months and we all filled our boots with shares ‘discounted’ at 96pence. I’d expect the next one to be launched later this year.

SMRs will be being decommissioned before this pipe dream takes-off.
*NEO = New Engine Option
These transactions look mostly aligned with the employee share purchase scheme where shares are bought on a monthly basis.
Positive vibes from the gaffer yesterday in his blog yesterday. Onwards and upwards!
Perhaps a dedicated fleet of aircraft required to transport them?…
We stopped making cars a while back.
I’m still accumulating the maximum number of shares via the monthly share save scheme and planning to top-up other holdings in the near future. Keep the faith guys. You’re investing in a company that delivers exceptional products that are so technically challenging that only a few other companies can rival. The good times will come.
