When I sold my SGC holding, I put some of it in here, and the rest into Lloy, just to keep my money working.

I'm tempted to put half of my lloy holding in here & put the other half towards my holiday to Greece.

It's good that he responds to shareholder queries. Some company CEO's take their sweet time bothering. Some don't bother at all.

I've never contacted him to ask anything myself, but it inspires confidence that when others do they get a timely response.

Exactly right, Fairdealer. Even if the story is a load of ball locks, it can cast a bit of a shadow.

Yes I agree. Some kind of official denial ought to have been put out, that would have put minds at rest and the suchlike.

As I have said, I do have faith in this company. If I hadn't, is a have quietly sold and moved on. But I haven't. I'm still happy to hold. Still a short statement wouldn't go amiss.

It's pointless trying to sugar coat it, but if this is the case, why have they not addressed this before now and just allowed the situation to simply drift?

Mistakes are easier to overlook if we are open about them, and put them right.

I do hope that they do now address this and offer landlords some kind of redress in a bid to stop any possible rot.

If landlords get it into their heads to start getting snotty, this could prove to be quite expensive.

Sorry if I'm sounding negative, im not really enjoying this post, as most of you know I am quite bullish about this share but It might be prudent to put in some damage limitation in I think.

Yes that is true. If this game was easy, I believe that most of us would be a lot richer than we are, but there we are.

A cheeky top up? I'll never ever rule that out. Despite this latest revalation, I've still got a lot of confidence in this company. If, and I say if loosely they have been up to mischief, then there deserves to be some level of repercussions. If they have been cheating the system. If this is found to be the case, then I hope they find a solution to redress the balance before it turns ugly and landlords start taking the company to court, as I've said in my previous post.

There have been no RNS reports relating to a statement being made by Mars stating that this is going to be the case at all. That's a good thing. I hope it stays that way, but that all depends on what Marston's does next to avert this.

Like yourself, and many others on this board, I am quite bullish about my investment here, and am happy to hold long term, barring of course the odd cheeky swing trade to add a few freebies and of course to DRIP feed my dividend back into extra shares on the house.

Like you, I'm hoping that Marston's put their hands up and say well yes, this is what happened, (If that was the case) and then come up with a solution to redress the issue which would be mutually beneficial to both sides before it turns ugly.

I was expecting an RNS relating to a statement on this matter this morning, but so far nothing.

I'm not sure what to think about this, as on the face of it, on the link that's been posted on here, it does look bad, and could prove to be costly to the company, which of course could be detrimental to the share price. Even more so if legal action is taken against Marstons. We'll just have to see how this pans out.

I've just had a read through some of this. It doesn't make for a good read.

Let's just hope that they can find a solution without causing too much bad coverage.
