@Simones - it's NOT a large £168k buy after hours. The 16:35 trade is ALWAYS an UNCROSSING (UT) trade - it's the market balancing the buy and sell trades at the end of the day.

Every share has an uncrossing trade every day.... It means nothing!

For what it's worth - I think this must test 50p and possibly lower - there is no urgency to buy into here yet (imo) ....

Capita POSSIBLY being backed is probably a storm in a teacup .... Or even an opportunity to add more .....

No need to panic .... This is still heading north over the next few months ......

@Ian B - yes totally agree - we are consolidating in the 36 - 38 range before the next leg up.

What will be the catalyst for the next move? Well news or contract wins would be good, admission into the FTSE250 (at the start of June) maybe .....

Just need patience - no point taking profit at 37p when this has got 50p plus written all over it for this summer and beyond.

If anything - we should probably be adding more at 36p!

Problem is - if I add any more they will feel compelled to offer me a seat on the board ??

@Trisor the harder decision imo is knowing when it's right to sell!

I did buy more at 34p recently .... But can't decide whether to sell now, at 40p, at 45p, at 50p or - as Gocpi says - wait until the re-rate in August.

I guess if these decisions were easy then we would all be millionaires (Rodney)

@Trisor Could have, should have, wish I had .... That's the problem with the stock market - easy with hindsight.

However - the harder decision, imo

I think with calmer waters this may settle around 40p to 43p (resistance) ahead of results although I would expect activity to pick up as we approach early June (promotion into FTSE250) and late June (trading update towards the end of the month I think).

I'm pleased I bought more yesterday although I've probably got too many now and will look to trade a few as we approach 40p+ I think

@joasywales - no the share price at 97p by July 2023 was stated in a Mail on Sunday interview with JL published on July 10th 2022.

I'm not expecting it to hit 97p by July 2023 but I always worked on the assumption that JL would be 100% wrong and was optimistic for 50p!

@Capitalizer - looks like I bought a little too soon but the market sell off was brutal into the close.

I'd be disappointed if this doesn't return to somewhere around 36p plus once everything takes a bit of a breath!

Who knows ... But doesn't feel a lot of risk here based on the last set of results and the CEO predicting a 97p share price by July 2023 (I wish)

I've just added another 30,000 shares ... These will be 38p within days ... Should be a fairly straightforward trade .....

Sell off here is massively overdone ....

@Culley I am hoping we consolidate around this level (40p - 43p) for the next week or two ... And I'm still hopeful of another challenge at the 43.2xp resistance after a period of consolidation.

I can't see 50p being broken before June admission into FTSE 250 but I'm hopeful we can drift towards 50p as the June deadline approaches.

I am still holding as I had set my own target at 50p and don't want to sell on the cheap - especially as I've probably only got a few weeks left to wait (having held these for well over a year now)!

I just felt that we should be at 30p as we head for results and it was worth a small extra punt ....

Of course the hard decision is .... When do I sell!

I've just bought 50k more shares and added to my, substantial, holding.

Surely this is going to be back in the 29s within a few days!

I think I'm going to wait until after March results to finally decide but I may well be tempted to sell a few into a strong rally

@Arthuretta - your calculations seem correct - I seem to recall somewhere around 35p - 37p would get us over the threshold for FTSE 250 re-entry.

I think, if we can break 30p convincingly next week, then there is every chance we can get to 37p before results as we know this share gets popular just before reporting.

I recall a swell in share price before half year results in August 2021 (and a huge rally after too) and also we had a bit of a swell last June too.

Fingers crossed for re-entry as that will give us the boost we so deserve.

@sharepoint - I agree that this has got much further to fall - probably below 50p - and I am in no rush to catch this falling knife either.

Someone was comparing this to POG when they did a 15/1 RI a few years ago (that wiped me out) - God help us if that happens here!

As many of you know - I've been ultra cautious on the approach to 28p and beyond - but the price action today would suggest we can break 28p this week and then push towards 30p plus as results approach.

We've had a period of consolidation around the 27p / 28p level since early January and - having had a breather - it hasn't fallen back (like it has done previously).

I'm not a buyer at 28p - but I'm not a seller either. I would suspect that most 28p sellers are now exhausted and that's why we will see this rise, possibly on low volume.

@danielh - for clarity - there are no dealing charges in DODL at all - only the 0.15% / 12 monthly charge (with a minimum of at least £1 charged assuming the above calculation is below £1).

It's brilliant! And I don't work for them! But I've had great fun with it over the last year - not very useful for quick in and out trading ....

But if you want to build a pound cost averaged stake in something over a number of days or weeks or months ... It's fabulous ....

You can even buy and sell a single share if you want .... No charge!

@danielh I think you DODL calculations are incorrect. If we assume VOD is £1 a share and we buy 300 shares a week then, after a year, we will hold 15,600 shares in DODL.

The DODL charges are 0.15% of the total holding per ANNUM - so the annual charge would be 15600 * 0.15% so £23.40 per annum - so about £2 a month.

However, the minimum monthly charge on DODL is £1 so, in the early months of ownership we would be charged £1 rather than the 0.15% / 12.

So the charges aren't too bad at all and work well with the MF article as I suggested before.
