The balance sheet is rock solid. Trading below book value per share (£1). Looking very vulnerable to a takeover bid - I would have thought £1.10 would do it after this recent fall.

One thing is for sure - any takeover approach will now be accelerated IMO. Hardly a savage profit warning - 17%. Let’s wait and see

I don’t think the stock is anything to really worry about. There is a structural shortage of second hand cars in the U.K. the profit warning is a kick in the teeth but I wonder if it’s a clear the deck job pending takeover. Management onside to keep their jobs? Ultimately, you have three options: sell, do nothing or buy. I have doubled down at 66p. GLA

Some speculation on ADVFN that Card may be party some type of corporate action. What do we think? Could be buying a small operator?

The issue I have is that CARD is already 25% of my individual stocks portfolio. Can I go up to 30%?! I probably will but it would very likely be my last CARD purchase. What are people CARD holdings?

It would be a mega deal if Cinch tried to buy Vertu. I doubt it will happen. Seems an odd move. Maybe they are just trying to diversify a little?

Now the farm outs are complete, it’s much easier for people to value the whole of JOGs GBA interest. Personally, I don’t see this time round being a spike and think the market simply must start to attribute fair value or else we’ll get pinched. Been a long road this one but never been more reason to hold. GLA

bod have ****ed up - should have raised at 60p - leaves this vulnerable to a low ball offer unless they can bring some large friendly institutions onboard soon

CEO and CFO piling in here. They must smell a takeover bid coming next year. I'm sure AVON would have many bidders who don't care about the p/e - rather interested in the strategic moat AVON has. GLA
