Thanks. We should expect some new contract wins in January/February then. There is quite a lot of scope for further big earnings upgrades again next year. This company is clearly in a real sweet spot!

Thanks for the replies. To be clear, I don't own AVCT. I will keep an eye on the RNS, as its a high risk high reward play. It would be great if the business sale could be wrapped up and the CLN cleared. I think this would set things up nicely for the next raise, which could be a great time to invest further.

Appreciate your anger given the current situation. Putting aside the fact you think i'm spreading fear, I wonder if you could answer my questions? I'm genuinely interested and I fully appreciate I may be ignorant, as i don't follow AVCT that closely.

Very strong share price action for FTC in a very weak UK stock market. Looking promising. From a technical/charts perspective, it looks like a break out above 80p could see a swift move to £1.

Also, does anyone have any views on when the new contracts (referred to at the AGM) could be announced. This was from the AGM statement:

"We are in advanced discussions for some further contracts in the space and aerospace and defence market which we hope to provide updates on soon, and have enjoyed some smaller development contract wins in recent months. Of particular note are a couple of contract wins in the space market utilising our recent investment in plastic encapsulation machinery. Encouraged to purchase by our lead defence customer for sovereign capability, we are now seeing wider interest in the technology offering throughout our core markets."

Based on this, one would assume that the contracts are material, given an intention to update shareholders.

Hi all,

Does anyone have a realistic view of what the diagnostics business will be sold for (£) and when? I ask because i'm concerned that AVACTA's cash runway is getting tighter with every month that passes. By my estimates of annual losses, AVACTA will need another £60m by Q3 2025 to allow for a further 18-24 months of drug development.

Also does anyone know how the Board plans to get rid of the convertible debt? Looks like a real drag on the share price - death spiral stuff...

Quite an odd share price fall post incredible results. Forward p/e of 15.9 - BMY starting to look extremely cheap for a quality GARP stock. Wonder if a US publishing house may pounce ?

I can't think of a more exciting UK tech growth stock. The worlds most exciting company (Space X) at the beginning of its journey (I have no doubts, it will become the biggest company in the world) and FTC is a key supplier, with what looks like no competition?! Obviously there is some major client exposure for FTC (for example if Space X finds and moves to another supplier) but that doesn't appear likely and if momentum in orders proceed as it should, FTC could be looking at a decade of incredible growth. Funny old game this. I'm in at 69p and FTC is my join largest holding, so I'm biased. I wonder if we'll see a part 2 SpaceX order soon? If so, I don't think we'll see sub £1 ever again after 2024 is over. I have a slight concern over the Trump tariff chat but I think it's very likely there will be carve outs (or lower rates) for the UK and advanced tech industries. GLA

Looks like ASX placing price may have leaked. As predicted, the BOD is about to screw existing nonparticipating shareholders with a discount on a discount placing. My guess is 7 or 8 pence per share. Shocking

Labour is really screwing UK businesses with the planned NI hikes. I think its very important to focus on UK stocks with a US growth focus, as pure play UK businesses are just going to get milked. Some ideas from companies I follow:

1. Filtronic - for obvious reasons!

2. Carclo - US business in the early stages of recovery. managed to avoid dilution

3. Warpaint - big US growth opportunities are now being exploited

4. Watches of Switzerland - a bit risky given labour is clobbering retail but US expansion plans look v exciting

5. TP Icap - could well sell/IPO its US data business into a very hot US market

6. Games Workshop - Potential deal with Amazon re warhammer series could be big decision due imminently

Any other suggestions?

Could be chatter about Trump looking to impose global trade tariffs. Looks like a good time to top up IMO

My figures are profit after tax and based on Stockopedia...

Having looked at the profit expectations and Labour's jobs tax, there is quite a big margin of safety. Current expectation for FY25 is £49.7 profit (or 14.4 EPS). Assuming a big profit miss (let's say £20m miss) then profit would fall to £30m or 8.7 EPS. On current share price, CARD current p/e would still be sub 10... FY26 EPS is going up to 16 - again, even shaving 40% off that would leave card on a p/e of sub 10. And the company is in growth mode! My average is 92p. Good luck!

Very encouraging... the analyst would have spoken in detail with management... v tempted to try and top up again and catch the falling knife!
