Read the Sunday Times article - no new news in there. Basically Priti Patel blaming fear of racism accusations as reasons for no action being taken by authorities. Hardly surprising given the culture of ‘fear of offending’ in the U.K. and nothing new here. Boohoo will work to clean this up and hopefully become an ESG leader in the sector off the back of this. Ultimately, this is good for Boohoo just with pain for pre-existing shareholders. Looking objectively, the worst news is highly likely already out in the open...

Looking back 3 years, the lowest lows (and intervening highs) are as follows:

1. 4 April 2018 -140.95 (previous high of 260) - peak to trough fall of 45%
2. 27 December 2018 - 152.85 (previous intervening high of 237.50) - peak to trough fall of 35%
3. 18 March 2020 - 157.50 (previous intervening high of 337.70) - peak to trough fall of 53%
4. 8 July 2020 - 224.50 (previous intervening high of 415) - peak to trough fall of 46%

This to me says says that (i) we have seen the bottom, and (ii) the long term trend is upwards.

are my next marker point. Personally, I think these will be stellar and show that the switch from high street to online retail has accelerated 5 years into 4/5 months. Sometimes, it can be difficult for people to see/accept what is plainly in front of them. The same people calling Boohoo out as overvalued are probably the same people who called out Amazon. There are far bigger structural forces at work here - infinitely more important that some supplier issues. There will be a big re-rate of Boohoo. Until then, probably a steady recovery to about £3.50. I can see £5/6 by end of year easily. If you subscribe to this view, then increasing your holding in Boohoo to about %10-15 percent should seriously be considered. I had been waiting a long time to enter Boohoo and this was a gift.

In summary, the shorters will likely have cleared off now that the open offer shares have been admitted to trading and the most likely way is up up and away from 30p. He says technical breakout past 43.5 p will be very bullish signal.

Its a very very good sign when Boohoo is rising and the UK markets are taking a beating / such negative retail sentiment. I truly believe that Boohoo will absolutely clean up from this mess. 1. reduced competition from high street. 2. rapidly changing customer buying behaviour (online and tech is the future). 3. This supplier issue is a storm in a teacup in the grand scheme of things.. GLA - Buy and Hold!

It always amazes me when the market throws up opportunities like this. Fear is a strong motivator even for the big boys. You just have to trust your instincts and stay strong in the tackle...

I can also see an acquisition coming very soon....
