Investment being as much looking forward as back - I'm trying to learn from this 48hrs of volatility. Question is about BTC: I'm not sure I've seen selling in surges with no clear trigger before. Seems like a planned phased sell-off. Any ideas why? Is there a regulatory announcement in the works not known to us? Profit booking? Something else? Any ideas?

They are watching the same graph as we are, if we feel positive long term or if there is a recovery pending then they will too. They won't have a massive sell-off if we aren't. This 2pm fear is getting a little out of hand I believe

Me too! It showed, 190, I tried to get in at 195 (sold at 145 days ago and was trying to get back in since)...

tried both live quotes and limit orders...

but nothing... and its back up as expected. I could still buy but its soooo annoying to not exploit that spike!

I would think a lot of holders needed liquidity due to surrounding circumstances. BTC maybe a hedge against a weakening fiat but when one needs to buy something they do need fiat...

Great thread, as someone relatively new to this world may I ask two questions -

1. Whats the route to discovering such potential gems? Even before you DYOR, where do you browse through the list to find the good ones?

2. Whats the DYOR method? Are there certain publications or ways of checklists? Or just go to the site, see fundamentals, see the RNS,social feed etc?

Any pointers would be much appreciated!

Well I added 15% to my portfolio @68p yesterday but sold that portion back at @74p today. Just to hedge against another fall, yesterday made me think not to get carried away, still have the original shares hoping for recovery

Anyone claiming to know is, for the most part, lying. Rampers will say yes, to the moon. The derampers will say dead cat bounce.

Unless there is a known external sentiment driving this I would suggest don't solicit opinions from strangers especially on a super volatile asset such as this one
