I hope that we all own the mistake here and don't start lashing out to blame someone. The red flags have been waved in your face for years but YOU and ONLY YOU ignored them, cheered on by the ramping abusive crew.

Sadly on COPL like most companies with LSE forums there is a mentality of protecting your investment and whitewashing everything shooting down any debate on forums. You get so-called experts that are experts in one thing - pushing an agenda. A self centered agenda and certainly not one for the collective good of people posting on the said forum.

Personally I now just mostly rtoll the forums exposing and antagonising hopefully some of the more unpleasant posters, it is a good relief from watching hard earned money being burnt.

But the main thing to take away from the whole COPL thing is:

No the bond sellers are not through and having 3 constant sellers instead of 4 is good but certainly does not mean the bond sellers are done. We do not know the volume and value that they hold so a reduction from 4 to 3 is meaningless. They still exist. So PD is incorrect in saying that the sellers are done or that there is any reduction in selling. We just do not know that data to make any comments on other than there is no one less seller than before.

Guys there is no "news due" - where is this coming from?

We have a month ops update that is always for the month behind. Other than that we are not expecting anything. Also when we do get our monthly update is not likely to be earth shattering, we are looking at slow and steady increases to oil production.

Sorry if that is not the narrative that the shrill shrieking ramping crews are giving out. You are best off ignoring the majority of posts on here.

Slow and steady she goes. The SP will recover and you will do very well out of this investment if your average is sub 5p. But you will have to wait a couple more months yet. 6 I would say before we start cooking on gas!

Stuart Huston - you literally know nothing about anything.

We will find out if the gas injection system is working in December/January's production figures. So far it has not been working anything like as well as the old one but we are giving it the benefit of time.

We will NOT find out if the system works from the likes of shysters like you that only tell one side of a story.

- Why is the JV taking so long? If there was a billion barrels of oil just waiting to be extracted do you REALLY think companies would wait around? There are very many good reasons the JV is not being signed off.

- If increasing production was a given then why is it taking so long and going backwards? If it was a simple as installing some new gas extraction system then why are we not seeing any improvements?

Truthful answers to these two questions will give you a true picture of COPL and what kind of returns you can make if you bought now.

- The JV could still happen. Don't write it off. Just do not base your investment on it and look at the history of Arthur the man that has supposedly brought us this JV. Have a look at the lies he told about Nigerian licences. Be VERY cautious.

- Production WILL increase but it will take time. So no we will not have 2000+ figures for December and anyone even suggesting that you will is clearly misleading and lying.

I would rate this as STRONG BUY. It is a no brainer that it is going to go up my a small order of magnitude over the next 6 - 12 months. The shrills and trolls don't like that though! They want to ramp it and sell COPL as an overnight multibagger then sell up and pee off.

In a single one of our assets we have an independently verified 1 billion barrels of oil but it is just really bloody difficult to get it out the ground. Even the previous owners who knew about the oil didn't bother. We can post how much money that 1 billion barrels will give us but if it is too costly to get it out without SIGNIFICANT new infrastructure then it is kind of moot. Though the ramping shrills will do all manner of mental gymnastics to explain why it's not!
