What on earth are Doc and Sage going on about. We all know what a NED does no need for insults you trolls...

All I am saying is that we need more doers rather than executives. The person who had not even been announced is more likely to be a plant from finance companies to push their agenda rather than anything that can help COPL get oil out the ground. Let's appoint useful NEDs when we are a much bigger business that can stand on its own legs without endless bonds and share issue.

Oh wise Sageman, I know 2 NEDs that report to a public body and 1 from a private company. So yes I do know exactly what a NED does which is what I have stated and you have added to. No difference in what I was saying with what you were saying. They are not an active manager like a CEO and not hands on. They are advisory at most and often political plants.

Some here think that the NED will kick start our production into high gear, I am dispelling them of that illusion.

We need to be concentrating on the actual operation not suits sitting round a table. More hard hats, less suits, or basically anyone that can get this stuff out the ground!

You guys are aware of what a NED actually does in a business? Not a lot, they are an advisory function that is all. Often companies offer NED positions out to increase customer reach and gain insights into other businesses.

There is absolutely zero way a NED will be in charge of anything like production.

Most likely the person will be a stooge from whatever financial interests there are in COPL.

Not sure why people are even bothered about this appointment. We need to concentrate on getting oil out of the ground and our production to above 2000 in the coming next 12 months.

We could all do with lower averages, I can't justify averaging down anymore so will leave mine where it is 3.8.

Hopefully we should see our averages broken over the next couple of months. We just need some good solid hand holding monthly RNSs from Cowen explaining operations data and showing he has a tight grip on production.

Agreed Bob. I don't pretend to be an oil expert but a cursory glance through the data on the Wyoming site throws up a lot of questions. Like:

- how come 2 years ago production was so much higher without the new improvements

- what is relationship between gas and water injections and production as it is not clear from looking at the differences month on month

- what is causing the widely differing production rates month on month

I think we need more people with hardhats than new board members ... lets get the stuff out the ground not sit pontificating around a board table.

The data is very flat and doesn't tell us much at all. It would be much more interesting to see daily or week per week so we would know if it was an upwards trajectory and with detailed explanation where there are days/weeks with dips.

In other words COPL need to release this in an RNS with an explanation next to increases/decreases, not just present flat data.

Um.... so not the figures we were looking for....oh well, lets see next month. No one should be under any illusions that hitting above 2000 is going to be easy, makes you wonder about the new trans toilet system, looks like the flush is not working!

Doc - Yes personally I would 100% invest at this level. Most of the troubles in terms of financing look to be resolved or are actively being resolved. We have a new CEO who is communicating realistic and achievable production levels. So yes I think the fundamentals are there. And yes 4p is very likely if we see steady increases in production each month. I would say within the next 1-4 months that was achievable.

Beware are the more ramptastic on here though that will tell you it will be 100p soon due to a potential Joint Venture. The proof is in the pudding on that one and our previous chef is/was not a good cook!
