Just got the news that the ordered Cr2032R High Drain Murata coin cells are finally in transit to my home adress, so hopefully I can analyse them this weekend :-)

Confirmed based on recent rns alert. Indeed made by Murata with cap-xx logo printed.

On second thought, could be still made by Murata on stock with printed cap-xx logo.

Claretjay, the thickness they already achieved was 0.2 mm and this was with pouch. Imagine they can do it without pouch, this will be even thinner... So not so convinced about getting it not into one battery housing.

I expect that compared to a normal battery ( of which I already googled quite some exploded views) there will be some additional layers present for the capacitor function. Let’s see. Expecting them mid March....

So... the current value of Cap-xx is roughly 13 mln Euro. (440mln shares * 0.02868 Euro per share)

For this you get:
IP licensed by AVX, Murata, TDK, CDE.
An automated production line from Murata.
Customer base of Murata (60) which was in 2019 worth about 8 mln euro Of sales, with a margin of about 50% this is a profit of 4 mln yearly.

Up to you to decide if this company is undervalued or overvalued.....

OS, as per my insights, no other royalties are mentioned.

But I also think that If I was Murata, I would like to keep it out of publicity as long as possible to keep ahead on competition.

Hi OS, if not mistaken,Murata expanded the license for cap-xx ip about two years back with batteries. Maybe someone can find the link. This is why I'm so eager to open the cr2032 hig drain battery to find out the content....

Btw I'm still waiting for the ordered murata cr2032r button cells and very eager to open them to find out if they have cap-xx ip/herbs onboard. This of course could heavily influence the shareprice but chances are 50/50 to speak in os terms..

There might be an update on the Murata line. I’m actually surprised that they already went public with the products. Questioning if it is only marketing or that they are ahead on schedule.

An update might give an impuls on the shareprice.

Besides this, there is also avx who became more active on supercaps.

Not to forget tdk and cde, we stll do not know what expect from royalties from both.

About the court case, this will earliest be end of 2020, there is simply too much at stake for ioxus and maxell, this could become nasty.

No recertification and testing ? They changed the location and the manpower, so for automotive standards this is considered as major change and you will need to do quite some validation work. So I wonder if this is a statement the existing customers will agree with. Let’s see...

About this Jef Colton, He joined Cap-xx relative silent, has a huge track record and is a least showing some progress on linkedin.

If I was Ranalli, I would put myself in the overdrive and start to deliver before I was standing in the shadow of Jef...

Too bad they are not public listed...they are moving in the way I originally expected cap-xx would be doing. They have already two manufacturing facilities and present in several big applications..

Interesting statement:

Importantly the 2.75V and 3V chemistries that CAP-XX has developed for its new range of products, that are designed to be used with 3V coin batteries, will be improved when made on the Murata manufacturing lines.
