Analysis from Seeking Alpha today about Colombia, the energy players there, the government measures and of course AEN's new acquisition InterOil: http://seekingalpha.com/article/2933506-petroamerica-oil-the-strong-buy-rating-has-become-even-stronger
Malcy remains very bullish on CAZA: http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/columns/the-pay-zone/17682/the-pay-zone-oil-price-cairne-faroe-ithaca-parkmead-and-others-17682.html
Does anybody know it? If this is too low, this might be the reason why they sold SMDR at this low price.
Bualuang field is doing fine, the production rises there.
Agree. they could have sold SMDR much higher if they waited for a while.
and Tanzania, England's shale gas boom etc. from Seeking Alpha: http://seekingalpha.com/article/2842816-cheniere-energy-a-scary-midstream-stock-to-avoid
and those who can still read and understand what they read being far from the panic mode and the herd mentality, see what the CEO stated: " Additionally, both wells have proved up STACKED PAYS across the respective lease blocks for future development. These wells should provide a GOOD RETURN on investment even at CURRENT commodity prices. "
The last two results is another strong indication that CAZA sits on the sweet spot of the Delaware Basin, being the first acquisition target of the neighbors: - 1st well flowed 1,928 boepd (with almost 90% light oil!) - 2st well flowed 1,356 boepd (with 87% light oil!) CXO, PXD, MTDR, EGN and the other major Permian or Delaware players do NOT have such strong IP24 rates. See their presentations and their results to confirm it.
For those who that the market is right with CAZA's gross undervaluation now at 8 GBX, see what happened with Talisman (TLM) last week. TLM was at C$3.4 a few days ago, and REPSOL acquired TLM for $8 last week. This is 130% rise in just a couple of days. Apparently, the market was NOT right when it valued TLM at C$3.4 a few days ago.
and you will be on holidays for the rest of your life.
If you buy quality oil stocks now, you will make a fortune.
I also added because of the same thought. Fingers crossed.
Low offer. Ophir exploited the oil price and made a low ball offer.
Although this excerpt is not so good for COP, it is good for Brent because Circle receives Brent pricing: "On top of that, there are some additional geopolitical clouds on the horizon that can make oil jump by H1 2015. For instance, the current low oil price has brought many OPEC members to their knees, while the holders of those countries' sovereign debt are toast as long as oil stays at the current levels. Iran, Iraq, Libya, Algeria and Venezuela are not prepared to withstand low oil prices for long and they are now in serious danger of political upheaval at current prices. Did you read this from the second article? This is very material information for the oil price. " In fact, the rapid decline has already started. First, the Energy Information Administration said yesterday U.S. crude-oil supplies declined 3.7 million barrels on the week ended Nov. 28. Analysts surveyed by Platts had expected crude inventories to increase by 380,000 barrels on the week. According also to today's news from Seeking Alpha, new permits, which outline what drilling rigs will be doing 60-90 days in the future, showed heavy declines for the first time this year across the top three U.S. onshore fields: the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford and Bakken shale. Specifically, there is an almost 40% decline in new well permits issued across the U.S. in November 2014, with only 4,520 new well permits approved last month, down from 7,227 in October 2014. "
Thank you! Both articles were great Reads.
These IP-30 IPs are only met at the sweet spot of the EAGLE FORD owned by EOG Resources (EOG). The dominant players CXO, Pioneer (PXD), Occidental (OXY), Matador (MTDR), Energen (EGN) have average IP-30 at 800-900 boepd in the Delaware/Permian Basin.
In other words, EXCLUDING that one time loss due to the sale of those properties, CAZA was profitable in Q3 2014 although WTI was below $85/bbl. This is the bottom line, and this is what all have to keep in mind.
YO has sold its shares since September 2014. YO also got paid the last installment IN CASH. Read the report.
China's central bank just cut the interest rate and surprised everybody! So both oil and US futures soar now! See from YAHOO: http://finance.yahoo.com/news/wall-street-set-open-philly-093956912.html
