‘The Company confirms that, at the time of this announcement, it has received a non-binding proposal regarding a potential sale of the Company and various other indicative proposals regarding the sale of certain assets of the Company’.
It appears from the above that a non binding offer has been received for the company in its entirety. JW and GC are now allowing ONGC, OXY et al the opportunity to make a bid for the strategic assets that complement there existing in country positions. What will ONGC pay for CPO-5 in isolation ? Are OXY now wanting another player to come in as operator just as they finalise seismic interpretation or is the landgrab and OBA worth taking out now to avoid the headaches? Hmmm game on (28-32p my guess)
