Africa is a tough market and not surprising that they have started with South Africa. MTN are well embedded across Africa and certainly we will see new providers appearing.
I guess that the US and Canada are the most immediate hunting grounds. 100 million target audience in Suburban and semi rural environments. Long distances and large areas that 5G won't be able to practically cover with density. Fiber is just too expensive to compete.

Interesting link between DISH and Tarana Wireless. AT&T have also funded Tarana. I believe that Tarana Wireless are marketing directly to both for new product lines. They have a market of 60 million marginal fiber properties to secure. The talk of wireless 5G to increase speed is a bit of a out dated problem now. G1 is capable of up the 700 Mbps in the right conditions.

I know that they have been training and developing in-house talent and filling underneath. Reality is that much of what Ethernity do is unique so you can't just transfer talent in and hit the ground running. Headcount has increased and I know that they have been flat out since Christmas.
I think that around June things will get a lot more interesting. I can see £1 as a short term goal now. Certainly inside 3 months from now.

I believe that we'll see an enhanced CU offering in the near future. Data offload, security and V routing. I am expecting something a bit similar to the DU outcome.
I think that there is a real danger of all these solutions running together and Ethernity being overwhelmed by surging workloads.
Currently the UPF trials and DU integration and what's really three design build contracts must be generating massive workload. These are all labour intensive functions with many adaptions I suspect.
Tarana is a massive undertaking but hopefully they can outsource production.

Thoughts. If the first delivery by early Q3 (3 months) is 400 @$1000 each then the next 9 months they have to deliver 4600 for $4.6m. Classically a ramp up curve could easily hit 25%% or so of max design output in the first quarter. If that's the case and they are $1000 a pop fir Ethernity from the $15000 tag price. The resellers and broadband providers need to engage up to 2.5m households globally. However I suspect that they will install with just a handful on each to start.
Interesting dynamics and incase you forget another week done on the DU product work with 3 Major Server manufacturers. Another week done on commercial field trials of UPF and other kit with the 3 largest Chinese Telecom.

Yes of course it has to pass 40. It cannot reach 50 without passing 40. The cash is useful but I don't there's any doubt that it is coming. On Monday morning when I said it will be 40 and probably this week I felt sure that it cannot stay unrecognised much longer. I feel sure that next news will add 50% and then Tarana demands for delivery will be updated. Only going to trend up now.

The important detail for me is we have seen a rise on news. It was modest and measured. Our one step forward has resulted in a stable market at this level and so far not a step back. I am not at all bothered about the warrants if people want 30p shares at 39 they can take them now. If not then it'll be a bit less dilution.
I don't think that funding is an issue immediately and they are now into substantial and rapidly escalating income.
Volume has dropped back to normal today. There will be news in due course then it will bust 50p.

Geri I suspect that there will be sales in the pipeline but I would be surprised to see them delivered yet. I believe that there will be recognition of commencement soon like Tarana then sales reported quarter by quarter.
Certainly things are starting to move but trials need to covert to real sales.

I really like the sales model using a dominant regional player like MTN and Horizon. This is big business selling to National and regional broadband providers.
I suspect that these will sell very rapidly and we'll be constantly updating production targets for Ethernity.

There's definitely a recurring fee, AA2 used a similar model.

$15000 is considerably higher than I expected. Also this is the per link price so for up to 512 users. I expected the base to be around $5000 or $10 per user in Hardware. In reality the cost per installation is determined by the number of targets in viable range. Perfect for suburban locations.
So each tower may have 4 units to cover 360°.
So from $15000 how likely is it that one of the key components is at or above $1000 a unit. A component that was designed and tested at cost by the supplier engaged since the start of the contract.
The immediate market is absolutely huge.

Horizon Wireless are the distributor for Tarana AA2 and G1 in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific region. It looks like they have sold a lot of AA2 over the years, now they have G1 on their books it brings a whole new market to realisation with increased range and performance. This is a very successful provider in Australia.

50 foot Predator is over a million now. Burns fuel at around a litre a minute on cruise and 3 litres a minute on full throttle. No good for crossing oceans but great fun. I like to use nature where I can to carry me for nothing but even on the motor I spend less than €5 an hour.

An example of the need for a network. If a national rail operator wants a private network they won't cover their network in private towers and radio units. It will become a sliced part of other networks. They may then have kit to extend say to the lines then into the carriages. They will then sell services, run maintenance, timetable, safety and everything from their uninterrupted private network. Now Ericsson, Nokia or anyone can supply the national network. Ethernity then can with others likely through an Integrator supply everything else.
We'll see small "smart this or that" pilots before the big stuff. This is exactly what the field trials are.

Speaking of 4G and 5G it is interesting that most of the DU products available has the DU at the RU. A very unlikely case for 5G. Ethernity can change architecture now even before 5G and bring together 4 and 5G in one solution. This makes migration much cheaper later on.

Existing 5G mobile networks globally are little more than accelerated 4G. Service providers are just now starting to invest in 5G capable networks. However just because someone provides the network it doesn't mean that Ethernity cannot sell kit. Ethernity needs a network to connect appliances to.
