It's clear that not everybody is a winner. Many will miss out and that's the way it is. I believe that Ethernity has explained it's unique market position many times. I don't think that is an issue I think that people take interest from RNS and they discover the rest. Simply they don't release enough market information. Inevitably a contract win is about one aspect and typically they have been about legacy systems or old tech as the new tech (reason for IPO) is not here yet.
Broad market updates like December 2020 are very valuable because they talk of everything happening.
Clearly if that breaches some mythical boundary then they simply say what they can. Much like David did in Final Results.
I think that they need to just talk more to the market through reach and RNS. Quarterly predictable updates is what they need to be doing. It creates interest and a reliable news stream shareholders can hold on to. That helps retention and talks of progress on a broad level.

I don't think that we need any proof of the pudding. Clearly the whole industry has not been conned into looking at an empty box with Ethernity on the outside.
It's clear that they are engaged with multiple sales streams starting very soon.
Anyone waiting for this to happen before buying will be paying 3 or 4 times the current price.

It should now be obvious that 2022 will be transformational with many mass deployments.
DU mass deployment with 3 major server vendors.
UPF 3 or more AceNIC deployments in Asia. Two go to market collaborations with major players with clients engaged on popular systems.
UEP 20, 60 and 300. Sales announced for the 20,60 and the 300 in India with manufacturing for global reach. Deployment 2022.

SoC flow processor. Tarana wireless ramping up deployment and gaining world wide traction. Deployments in South Africa, Australia, and US. Near term plans for several other African Countries. Multiple deployments from the US funding currently going through proving prior to deployment.
Then we have China in large scale field testing now with deployment 2022.

We can very reasonably expect contracts to be signed in H2 and delivery to begin 2022. Ethernity has multiple products in multiple forms with multiple OEMs, vendors and integrators deploying in 2022.

So in addition to the Tieto partnership Ethernity are collaborating with a Tier 1 networking vendor on a joint product. Not many options here, certainly no small players with substantial market position.
No dates mentioned but as we see everything is starting deployment 2022 so we can anticipate being market ready this year. It's an absolute no brainer for Ethernity.

· Virtual Router: The Company is collaborating with a Tier1 Networking vendor on a joint offering that will include their well-known Cloud native virtual router software package and our ACE-NIC100, that will offload the router data plane. Within the framework of the collaboration, Ethernity will benefit from the inclusion in their substantial market position that they hold with system integrators and service providers.

AceNIC will have component costs and a margin probably typical of a ASICs device. The good news is that Ethernity can offload the production and invest no time or effort into the product for decent return.

The sales could be in large numbers. The AceNIC is probably the best FPGA SmartNIC and we can expect significant sales volumes and recurring revenue.

Fairview exactly. This is a contract equal to 5 months of H1 revenue. Next year it could be $3m+

Interesting detail from the Final Results. At least 3 Asian (and Chinese) Service provider and/or OEMs using aceNIC-100 with their own UPF code. One Asian Service provider which I suspect is in SK and Chinese OEM customers (plural).
Testing starting soon deployment next year. These will be I suspect ASICs like products where Ethernity produce a number and they are then available as a ready-made solution.
The challenge here is scalable production. 3 deployments will be sales in the thousands or tens of thousands.

o Ethernity is currently engaged with an Asian service provider that has completed integration of our ACE-NIC with their UPF data plane and who now plans larger field trials during Q4 21 with deployment expected during 2022.

o Chinese open UPF testing for private 5G market is planned for Q4 21 through our OEM customers that integrated their UPF software and the ACE-NIC100, with anticipated deployment during 2022.

Yes agreed however let's not limit them to one update. Like Tarana it's unfolding nicely.

Uhif the contract has a Very rapid development and delivery. I would have thought the client would close as quickly as possible.

Sergi why would they hide a great contract in the interim report. Why wouldn't they want it to reach a wide audience. The investment press would only report H1 earning headline. It's a place to hide bad news not good.
They will need to disclose as much as possible.
I would have expected the release to be very soon after the Final Results. It must have been very close to completion to mention it at all.

It's a $930k contract with recurring revenue it's a huge contract for Ethernity. Why wouldn't they want everyone to know in a standalone RNS. The more information they give the more businesses with similar requirements will know that Ethernity has the solution.
Talking about it is fundamental to promotion. They should be talking about everything to everybody.

Skid yes absolutely it must be announced.

Sergi. I repeat again. Nobody wants them to embellish or talk up anything just set an expectation of regular rather than random updates.
They are not a company with $2m sales. They were, now they are in a huge growth cycle. That's the message they need to be passing. This is the time to add detail about how they will be doing that.

It's crazy that the share price is so low but that's often the way with transformational events. I held shares many years ago in a gold and silver producer opening their first mine. They did so successfully but on the day it opened the share price was the all time low.
Ethernity really are about to embark on the reason for the IPO. I think that it's fair to say that their current product range and market reach has far exceeded my expectations and the share price is well below my expectations.
I don't think that is the fault of anyone or anything. I think that it's the condition of the UK and the AIM. There are very few Investors and many of those follow Hot sectors. Many have been diverted to Crypto or other forms of gambling.

Ethernity need to be repositioning for growth now. This is why I mention the news strategy but there are many aspects.
We need to know how Ethernity will deal with the huge problem of supply and production capacity. This information will flag the scale of the business ahead.

Judging by two PMs I received today a couple of watchers had lightbulb moments reading BKs words.
The realisation that both ASICs and Open vendor products will form the open ecosystem. ASICs vendors are largely not your end to end monolithic providers. They simply have a standard product for a common purpose. It's often a quite simple application like a NIC. They are sometimes called SmartNIC but are not so smart. They do a basic function cheaply and are available at short lead times. In this example you may have a NIC for joining to a network and it's "smart" because it may have Level 1 forwarding or a security function or something else.
Ethernity SmartNIC is nothing like that. It will be part of the ecosystem but will be the complete solution, it will provide very efficient compute functions ideally suited to FPGA. If you imagine the Circus plate spinner this is an FPGA. It performs multiple tasks at once and arrives just in time to spin the slowest plate.
Ethernity make solutions using FPGA on their aceNIC-100. They make the hardware and design the firm and software.
The hardware is low margin and the code is very high margin. The hardware mass production will take investment in inventory and production capacity for low margin reward.
I feel sure that for the DU sales Ethernity will use Xilinx FPGA and Xilinx will build the hardware as a ASIC type of standard product. All the same product for multiple DU deployments. Ethernity will then custom the code to the ecosystem.
This is possible because the numbers are huge and it justifies a production run. Clearly for 1000 units this would not be possible. I suspect 1000 a week will be the starting volume. The Ethernity side will be 80+% margin on a rinse and repeat royalty basis. Payment for each license then more for intervention and ongoing use.
So it's easy to see how big this can get and how quickly. Now imagine 3 vendors engaged simultaneously. Now Ethernity has a complete ASICs type of product, almost off the peg. On standard servers. This is gold to Integrators and they will want this product.

You can't look back for performance. The market is just opening up. Timing is an issue H2 but beyond the Open deployments are scheduled to begin. The deployment windows are very tight and Ethernity will have to mobilise quickly. I suspect that is well advanced with an FPGA vendor producing what will ultimately be ASICs type of hardware.
Looking back is like checking shop sales when the store is closed and guessing sales when it opens.

I retired at 44 and have been traveling the last 6 years just opening business with talented people who have more energy than me. I bought my first shares here January 2018 and have been buying as funds allowed since for myself and 5 others. Unfortunately times have been tough with the nonsense around Covid but everything is currently open and trading. This is my only listed investment and I bought he because of David Levi.
My outlook was 5 years and that remains good with an option to extend. That depends on build slots for my new cat that Ethernity will be buying. Currently the model I want is €1m all in so I need about £3.20 a share average.
I think that is very realistic.
