The company has been extremely efficient since Harry the dreamer went. Opening the mine to 5 mtpa at half the original budget ahead of schedule. A very cost effective enhancement to phase one extending to 7.5 mtpa. It really is classic share price movement for a mine under construction. The lead times are long the risks are normally high and the news is normally thin during construction and many wanting instant gratification move on. That has definitely happened here. However when we have production which will be any day now we will be on to the ramp up phase which attracts attention and news. I expect the share to respond supported by 4C communications strategy. Take it or leave I do not care.

I hold other shares but only have £10k or so in each whereas I have £125k+ here. There is nothing wrong with investing in a variety of shares in a variety of sectors. We all do it; what I don't understand is why you would sell one to buy another. I guess you have your own way of working but it seems odd to me. My investment here is for a income over the next 10 years or so from dividends once my £125k stake is returned at 10p+. I assume your goals are somewhat shorter term. Emed has the potential to be a cash cow for the shrewd investor. It would be a mistake to rule it out just because Emed has behaved like a classic AIM share in this phase.

That is the best way, tiny buys when shares are available. Any large trades will push the share price up which would be a shame at the moment.

The market cap here certainly is not high. A mine and processing plant like Emed own if you could build one would cost £500m at least. Production starts any day now and emed will be cash positive ie making profit by December this year. The costs will be low given the exchange rate and oil price. Upside comes from the 50% enhancement of phase one to 7.5 mtpa already funded a resource update well over due and an increase in copper price. Emed will expand to a 10 mtpa throughput then we can expect substantial dividends. This is a sprint but things have moved really quickly on site and the share price / market cap are well behind the curve. Very soon we will hear of first production, a new company name and a focused PR campaign to spread the word. I rate this a strong buy for the seriously investor although it is probably a bit late now to start building a substantial holding as volume is small and liquidity is very tight.

just generalising. More exciting shares that lack a finished product tend to be about market spin or an organised pump and dump. Unfortunately in the AIM playground it is a regular occurrence. Transformational developer to producer stories are much more rare. I also think Copper is well poised to deliver over the next 18 months. EMED is a serious investment deserving of a large stake from these levels as it is an investment that will pay back over many years. The mining sector is a tough call and often during construction share prices decline as the AIM looks for instant gratification from a permit or a finance package announcement. Unfortunately the reality of long leads and delays with construction often massively erodes the share price as gamblers on the AIM have little financial or mental resilience. The best time to buy build a position is in the final 25% of construction when often the share price and the mood is the lowest with a mid to long term view. In production EMED will be a different place to be and buying will be tight. I have spent many months buying here on the dips to have a good average just above the current share price. I also play other momentum shares but there you watch other buyers and sellers rather than the company progress as the market response can be disproportionate by a large margin. They are gambles to take but not with core money.

I can understand buying other shares we all have other shares in our portfolio but why sell one to buy the other. There have been very few sells and certainly the volume has been tiny over the last few weeks. If I were to sell it would take a week or more to exit at these low volumes. Some other shares are more exciting at the moment but they are just pump and dumps or massively overdone response to news that is blown all out of proportion. EMED is a serious investment now as they are on the cusp of a return and profit. Material runs through the plant now and first production is very close indeed. EMED is about to become very exciting, supported by a PR campaign. It would take a very long time to take just a couple of million here without forcing the share price up. If you want to play other tables fine but I cannot see the logic of cashing in at one to play the other.

The problem here is the Chinese, low nickel price, low gold price, tough operational conditions and poor infrastructure. Mr Dearing has really done shareholders over despite his agenda of allegedly represent shareholders. Mpinga was the asset, without him all is lost in my opinion.

The important amount is what goes into the Isa wrap. Once in all product is in the Isa and is tax free. Take it as cash, reinvest it do what you like it is within the wrap.

The cash costs are $1.57 lb. That will be easily beaten given the exchange rate and the price of oil. I suspect all in costs will actually be very close to that in reality. All down to scale. They need to move beyond 5 mtpa quickly as at that they will just scrape even. Copper is looking quite robust at the moment.

I will keep buying. I thought 4.75p was a fair price for the placing my view has not changed. Buying below 4.75p is a gift that I will continue to accept. I am not interested in having a few of the cheapest shares but rather a huge holding of cheap shares. If it drops a bit more I will not be crying as I am still buying. I don't have a budget I ask myself every day, knowing what I know now would I buy or sell. I have to say now I am a buyer. My average price is 4.2 or so, my stress levels are very low.

Classic AIM stuff really. People view commissioning and ramp up as long lead events full of risk of delay but reality is on this occasion that everything is in place and all will move very quickly as it has through the whole process. We are in the last 1 or 2% of the restart now. Always the darkest before the dawn; time to buy whilst the rest are still asleep.

Very good question; I am not sure at which point they will announce actual production. I do know the plant is running ore now through the plant. My guess is that they will continue commissioning until they run for a few days continually and sample the product. I suspect we will hear when the first concentrate is trucked away for sale. It will not be long now. We all saw the video where the floatation system was running; that leads in to the back end of the process so the job is very nearly done now.

Your post certainly sounds like you are wetting your pants the way you bleat on in desperation. I am certainly not in love with the company however I am very fond of the situation they are in and the pent up value locked in by solid material events. That is why I am still a buyer. I see no reason not to buy with production starting now and the market cap so low for the massive value in plant and in the ground. Maybe you should look up the definition of ramping before you accuse me of it as I am not ramping at all. I merely hold a view that EMED is hugely undervalued. As and when that balance is amended I do not know; if EMED were 12-15p now I would not be buying. Pay your money and take your pick but don't cry like a big baby when you get frustrated; it is pathetic.

The 3p will be cancelled tomorrow and replaced at 4p. No point in wetting your pants because the share price is under pressure. Copper had a decent recovery after a bad start. Sentiment over miners is poor, production is very nearly with us then the situation will turn positive. Until then I continue to buy.

Indeed and they will only know about it once we have production. I say again, the message has to be the right one. We intend to be in production in the next week or two if all goes well is not the message they should be promoting. Once we have first production of the dry product, tested in the lab and delivered to the customer then 4C will promote the message.

The new video on the website of the flotation circuit in full flow is certainly impressive. Production is days away. The photos which are a week old show stockpiles are well advanced and are divided so this ore has been through crushing and grinding. How will the market regard production. Much depends on the Copper price but it must be positive.

There is little point in expecting anything from the AIM before an event; it simply does not do that. The AIM is happy to run a no-hoper up on a bit of irrelevant exploration before crashing it back down but will not run a production project up until it is a production project and a rise is sustainable. EMED have plenty to offer but the time is not quite right yet. I see little point in moaning about it, this is the deal you bought. The sweet time is ahead.

Indeed that is why they have engaged 4C but the message will be that whatever the new name is are in production. It will not be that they will be in production in a week or two assuming the commissioning with ore goes OK. They only get one chance to promote and they need to make it pay. I do not see where all the stress is coming from, either you believe the company is worth way more than 4p or you do not. The share price should be telling you to buy not to panic and pee your pants.
