Ethernity have realised that the market for FPGA is much bigger than they first thought. This basic info is aimed at that market.

Ethernity will be broadly aligned with the whitebox server builders and will certainly be Ethernity's largest market for AceNIC100 and the packages to make it work. The recent production deal will be in the whitebox sector for sure. Ethernity will make a royalty from every Nic built and sold and the firware/software packages will provide ongoing income.
The opportunity is massive and even 1% of the market will be huge. However Ethernity are teaming with leaders who will be by definition taking a big chunk of the market.

Lower than expected data centre sales.... We all know why that is. Smartnic. AceNIC100 can put a old server on steroids so why have new servers.

As often is the case the last line for me sums up the opportunity ahead "perfectly positioned with Ethernity at the network edge".

Ethernity arrived early before the party and now the guests start to arrive. Ethernity have not wasted the early bird advantage developing market leading products and making some early wins securing manufacturing capacity. I suspect that whitebox manufactures will be adding the aceNIC100 as their standard version and topping with ethernity soft and firmware. However if they are misguided enough to choose another FPGA ethernity can still power there system.
I also see a massive retrofit market at data centres to reduce the power and space issues. Currently new servers cannot be installed quickly enough to deal with demand.

In the blog towards the end. Of course one has to read a little between the lines as you always do with commercially sensitive sectors.

So Ethernity had a meeting with one of Asia's largest operators who are looking to provide edge services and clearly are in the market for ideas about exactly how to do that. How much would that be worth? More than the current cap I suggest in one outsourced deal.
Hundreds more of those deals will be done by Ethernity over the next few years.

So the MMs bought 100000 for £50k and sold then back for £41k. The trend will stay intact after the step back and upward movement will continue. We may see the same situation at 84p and £1 as profits are taken.

It's interesting that 14 months ago we were told that the market was moving slower than expected and delays of 12 months were expected. Now we are told that it is moving faster than they anticipated. That news 14 months ago trashed the share price from 130-84 - 17. We were told contracts 2019 and mass production 2020 but here we are on the verge of mass production.
I feel absolutely sure that there are other deals for mass production in progress now.

Should be something from MWC. I suspect that there is a lot going on right now but we won't be told until all is delivered. More detail is required.

I think that some clarification is needed over these OEM deals. Is this a manufacture producing and selling Ethernity products whitebox or how does it work.

It is illiquid and the rub goes both ways. Now dropped on tiny volume. The story just gets stronger for the market and the company. MWC confirms for me that Ethernity are prime placed to secure a big chunk of a huge market globally. We need some sales data really to add some meat to the bones

People seem very happy to give their shares away. I guess that they are taking a profit or anticipating being able to buy back cheaper. Crazy really as buying back when it turns will be tough.

I think that there was maybe some expectation of news from MWC. I think that they made it clear that the event was super busy for Ethernity which is clearly very positive but this is still very much a wait and see as to how big the recent production contract is. How many units is full production and how many come with the complete suite. I like the information on the website where Ethernity are happy to firm and soft any brand of FPGA that the customer chooses. This brings in a lot of scenarios with trusted or preferred suppliers like government contracts.
I trust that the bulk of the market will move to the best product and spec wise nothing touches ethernity.
Yes we don't know how thick the demand is now. It's caused one major manufacturer to start production. This decision was made middle of last year. The company say that they expect others this year from new and existing clients so it is reasonable to suggest that this is more than casual interest and with global significance.
The share price will continue the rise soon and we will view this time as a buying opportunity.

It's possible and 4% or a % of will be very useful in addressing the liquidity issues.
Personally the decision to sell a few by someone else does not have any impact on my thought process. Even if they think ENET are a complete lemon it does not have any impact on the research and the view of the Tech world.
ENET are a winner as far as tech goes and that will reflect in the share price in good time. The products will sell in huge numbers in the near term. We will see little guidance on that until they report increasing revenue.
I am unable so far to find anything relating to a major server manufacturer in Korea launching a new product containing the aceNIC100. That is not really surprising as there is very little from any server manufacturer promoting any server grades. It's not how they work and they will have established clients and they will reach through the industry to find new sales not in the public domain. Full production in the next few months will give us sales for sure. Why else would they enter production on a mass level. Looking through the information from Ethernity over the last 18 months and they anticipated securing commitment in 2019 and mass production in 2020. They anticipated multiple mass production deals so I suspect that we will hear of more in the near term.
Really the business is here and now and if someone is taking a 100% profit or cutting their losses it makes no difference to me. If we get a few hundred thousand shares released then that will help meet demand moving forward and reduce the chance of the MMs stalling with a monster spread. Clearly if it drops people see opportunities and good luck to them. The recent rise is well underwritten but greed and fear drive the market.

The question is what will the big players Cisco, HPE and the like do to preserve their huge profits and support their dwindling market share. The tech is patent protected so it makes sense to try to take out Ethernity.

To get an idea about numbers however the Ethernity tech slashes the amount of servers required if they use smart servers. Functions run up to 100 times faster and at 80% less power in 40% of the space. All in a packet cheaper than the current offering. Maybe this is why Ethernity were back to back with meetings at MWC.
We are still in the build up but ultimately demand will be what forces share value and profits will drive dividends.

Hardy based on faith. The company have made solid progress and now the aceNIC100 is in production with full production scheduled for next quarter.
H1 figures will reveal little as they will be based on a period prior to the massive increase of interest as the market for the product catches up with the development.
I suspect that they are working on other contracts, but one a avionics switch but they will be small in comparison to the reward that implementing aceNIC100, and soft and firmware will bring.
The reason is that those sales will cost nothing and they will produce close to 100% margin.
We will hear of the early sales in the summer but quite soon the major Korean manufacturer will need to market the product. Once we know who they are it will be much easier to map progress.
The next few months I hope will produce at least one more manufacturer and several resellers.
MWC will produce business for sure and whilst Ethernity are not unique they are a leader and from what I can see the solution on cots servers with plug and play turnkey deployment is unique.
Now 1% of the 2019 market amounts to millions and white box will account for the majority of the edge compute installations.
This is the most secret and protected of industry and if you wait for sales figures then quite honestly you will miss the opportunity.

4th January 2018 the price gapped down on large volume and many bought in low 80's. After the drop some will no doubt sell on breakeven.

Share price is getting a spanking. Some selling producing a bit of a check back. Not unhealthy and really inevitable. I expected this at 84p not 50p. Way too early to bank profit in my opinion.
Production and sales news will send the share price up strongly.
