Much of what ethernity does has little to do with 5G. It's not about how fast or the size of the data packets to the data centre but about what is not done at the data centre at all. It's about millions of small data nodes accelerated to compute on a local level in a manner currently performed by many servers often 1000's miles away. People and press just focus on speed as if it is just a progression. Reality is that edge data access will change our lives completely not just shave a fraction of a second off access time.
Even trying to think of the limits is like trying to image the stars and the journey of light.
We cannot comprehend it and that's why they focus on speed.

They have done several pieces over the last couple of years about new products mainly. It's where I read about the UEP initially. I still feel sure that was the moment the solutions all came together.

Most have pulled out because they can't fulfil the criteria. Not been in China in the past 14 days. It means that they have to come 2 weeks before.

I believe that the industry is geared to rapid mass production. 2020 will be the year then 2021 it will increase massively with mass production. The core of the Ethernity products are off the shelf. It's what they do with them that is special. Fpga have been around for 20 years and the type favoured by Ethernity are one if the industry staples.
Ethernity have many different solutions despite the current focus on edge server acceleration.
The 8 port data centre server will become hybrid for sure.

The market is in its infancy and I don't think anyone can do anything but guess just how huge it can be. Certainly Ethernity are in the right space with solutions to real problems. I don't think that we have seen anything but the scouting groups so far. The market is getting to the commitment point and the sector will get very loud when it does. I was expecting it 6 months ago but who knows when it will finally arrive. Certainly it will be over a number of years as different global regions advance.

Yes I do wonder why he goes to Proactive at all. I have been told that they don't release information until the deal is delivered as was the case with the Korean server manufacturer. Even when they released the information it told us nothing a a year later still nothing is known. I can't see ghat it makes any difference to their whos acceleration they are using. I am sure that if it were important they would just buy one and look.
It makes it impossible for Ethernity to build a reputation if nobody knows who is using what. Every sale is a cold sale without history.
I believe that with the AIM listing they're well out of their depth and it exposes a skill gap.

After David telling us on proactive that they are in the final stages of a large US deal with a large upfront payment surely they couldn't complete without telling us. If they hold that back and reveal with full year results then serious questions need to be asked about their compliance.
Should David even be discussing this or did that discussion derail the deal. Is it delayed, complete or delayed.

There are two levels of functionality available off the peg as a plug and play product. These are bare metal products so designed to work within a built server environment much like the Korean deal. They will be selling this to a server builder/manufacturer /OEM not individual sales. A part of this is Ethernity work so the royalty per unit will be small but sales could be in millions.
FitBNG2000 Series is the second product line.

That's exactly what it is but Ethernity only provide part of the solution. There are two models. Fiberhome model is to both retail and wholesale. Their clients are huge so if China Telecom or one of the big players take it for their network sales will be in the millions. It is hands off for Ethernity, they have done the work now and Fiberhome will do all the manufacture and supply. Ethernity will gain a royalty from every install.
This is a emerging market : its fourth generation. The other article points to the arrival of that 4th generation.

Agreed. I suspect that there is lots of positioning going on and actually deals signed however they have said before they only announce when all is complete and delivered. Reality is though that we'll only know a bit more with the full year statement.

I don't think that it reflects the illiquid state but the lack of interest.
Patience is required but we have been saying that since Spring 2018
