Yes but I suspect too far will bring buyers in. They are just adjusting the spread a bit. With a bit of volume last week and overwhelming again on the buy whatever supply they have can't last long. Look back since the start of 2020 and there is a big imbalance.

It would be interesting to know what they paid. As far as smartNIC goes one of the main competitors and using the same Fpga. Of course Ethernity is much more than the ACE-NIC100 but it does make you think.

This is exactly what I expected to see from a company like Dell. Their own kit and likely already obsolete. At least twice the size I would expect and 4 accelerators per server. Recently the industry suggested 16 may be a better number.
The concept makes perfect sense but it is just to big for many locations. Also it uses all their own kit and software apparently.
The OEM approach will be rapidly overtaken by white box components and we'll see fewer cores achieving more using less space and power.
However it has started and we'll see how the others respond. I see edge nodes and minidata in lampposts, small service boxes and existing infrastructure rather than these ugly vaults.

I don't think that funding is required but it's been mentioned before and it may be the case. The big deals (Korean server manufacturer, Fiberhome and now TietoEvry) are all in evolving markets so may not produce anything for a while. In the meantime if they don't get £1m from the flagged US deal then cash will be tight.

Easy to see why they are using this firm. Their work with the JLC and the people running the company. I guess that they are comfortable with the connection in London.
I suspect that they will be tasked with raising awareness in publications but I have never been impressed by the effectiveness of these types of business.

Depends how they raise funds I guess. We are used to seeing the issue of shares to raise funds but there are many ways.

I believe that we will see value here way before the financial results after a boom period. What I expected last year is finely happening now and from here the size of the market ethernity are in will swell and with acquisitions the number of providers with proven solutions will decline.

However you are just guessing. The sector is very much switched on now, secrecy will become less of an issue. An example Tieto report nearly everything on a live news panel on their site. How long will it be to a deal involving the Ethernity kit. They have no problem updating their investors.
The new markets that the Korean server deal and fiberhome products are in will mature this year.
A retrospective update for the year end a few months ago will tell us little about what is happening now. You need to look at the industry as a whole not Ethernity networks.

Dust settled now from last week so I took a few extra shares this morning. I believe that this share will trend up into news now. Plenty of appetite for the sector and it will take very little to attract attention here.

TietoEvry have a huge amount of alliances and products. In fact they do very little on their own by the looks of it. The merger was just a couple of months ago so I assume that this alliance started long before that with one or other party. They seem to be covering all the bases for the direction of the next step.
Globally 5G mobile, edge and community access will look very different region to region.

Two large businesses merged to form a substantial global group. This is obviously a very small aspect of their group and they have many alliances but it's probably the sector slated to grow the most over the next few years.
Ethernity have a very similar arrangement with fiberhome another huge business with hundreds of products.
It's reassuring to see that these huge players with established clients turn to a micro like Ethernity to deliver a joint opportunity. Clearly they have experienced some demand to even consider developing this product.
This Tieto product turns the component that Ethernity have produced into a market ready product with a ready market already engaged. It is fair to say that they are probably 6 months ahead of the demand but many looking at the 5G problem will have realised that they cannot achieve the benchmark without this product.

Interesting situation for the MMs as with no further support in the shape of news we can expect a small drop. However they must be in negative territory on their books. It may just stagnate for a couple of weeks

I guess that they see it running out of steam on this news. Without it I suspect that the price would be back under 40. It is a game changer but much like fiberhome and the Korean server manufacturer we are likely to be waiting a very long time for any financial information.
It's a game changer for me because it shows beyond doubt the significance of the unique technology that Ethernity hold under patent and the willingness of huge players to team up. We'll see sales this year as the leaders are moving to deployment rapidly.
