Looks like a whole group of companies are on the same stand.

I wonder if that is a typo or if we are about to find something out. Ethernity and Flash Networks appear to be on the same stand.

That depends upon how diverse the customer base. They will get bought for exclusivity of their products and patents. More to block others out for advantage. If they have multiple licensed manufacturers then that won't value any more. That's why I believe it is now or never. Acceleration is the key.

Depending on your plan. I think that if there is no buy out then the big reward will be in dividends. The top two shareholders will want to reward themselves financially and sale or dividends as the easiest route

I think that once we have news the price will move very quickly. A couple of days at the top of the winners board will attract attention.

It definitely is a issue made worse because it is very difficult to know where your investment stands when they update just twice a year. Anything between has so few details that it's almost impossible to determine any value.
The sector is attracting interest but largely has not attracted much value as market position is impossible to gauge. Huge market that is really not fully revealed yet, the question is do Ethernity have any market position. They think they do as they have called themselves market leaders, better than Intel and say the they are in advanced discussions with OEMs. However so far it's talk and any walk has no detail disclosed.
I believe that they have market position, a unique product and a sector moving to deployment. I have invested heavily here and hold profit but they need to deliver before we all get bored.
I still expect a takeover or buyout in the short term.

Nice. The requirements are exactly where Ethernity are and have been for quite some time. I guess that we are waiting for mass deployment still. With plenty of 2020 deployment talk it seems incredible that there is still talk of how this will happen.
Mention for on premises edge which I suspect will be a big market with community edge environments.
Focus has moved to the nuts and bolts of how this will work and I suspect that 90% won't have any clue what the next 12 months will produce.
Clearly ethernity have cast their net in the right place, let's hope they'll land a few whoppers.

If it does it will be for the patents and the solutions. I think that it will have to be very soon or not at all before contracts allow competitors access to the tech either to use or manufacture under license. Once that happens there is no exclusivity value. Any buyer would not be buying for income but to leapfrog others. That kind of deal will attract a big premium. If it doesn't happen in the next few months I don't think that it ever will.
Either way I can see several scenarios to success

If there are delays with market adoption it is unique to Ethernity as the industry chatter suggests that this year will definitely be the first deployment year.
To raise at 40p or less would be crazy and unless the institutions who backed the IPO were included in a preferential way they would be alienated for sure. I expect this year to be near breakeven with new contracts delivering increased revenue next year. Yes they can't run out of funds but they are so close now and they have said all alone that the funds are on course and sufficient.

Pure speculation yes but that's what boards like this are for. Anything else would be a RNS.
Equally it could be a fund raising but on what we know about the cash situation we should have had a RNS about market conditions if the profit threshold was slipping.
They disclosed a expectation of a substantial deal which is now well overdue. That will be material to the share price and has influenced decisions so we have to assume that it is still on as we have heard nothing to the contrary.
I guess that you have to ask yourself if they have no interest in shareholders or the share price why and what else is going on.

It would explain the lack of disclosed progress. This company has always been very economical with information to shareholders but recently they have delivered absolutely nothing. I am beginning to think that there is a corporate event looming.

I think that over the next 6 months we'll see many more fpga solutions and acceleration nics. I also think that we will see industry consolidation. Currently small investors have a disproportionate say in the valuation. This maybe why we have radio silence. I doubt that David would step off this so early so if this happens I would expect a very good price.

It does seem incredible after the claims of how well the solutions are received and all the events that there is apparently absolutely nothing to show for it.
The news already released about the Korean server manufacturer and Chinese reseller may well be producing news that will only appear in financial reports but every other win should be disclosed immediately to the market. I guess that we can only assume that the US deal is taking longer than hoped because if it had fallen through they should have reported such as they gave such strong indications.
I believe that there is much going on but this company simply has no interest in sharing it with us. They need to remember that a small percentage of the overall shareholders determine the value of their company.

The product of my research yesterday was the realisation that now the technology vendors like Avantech have defined how they see the leap to the edge playing out. They are using a quite standard model with deep learning environments and tools for the end user to self problem solve and design their own solutions. They will all use fpga to control, secure, police and accelerate the solution. This will be massive for Ethernity who are already working with Avantech.

I suspect that the industry noise will increase again in 2020 and we'll see exactly what deployment looks like by the end of 2020. I believe that the share price would be in the pounds already in a better investment environment even on the AIM which is more of a circus than ever. I see very lean times ahead for the UK and this will no doubt play on investors strategy. I think that it will take immediate income news to trigger a rise. We are expecting this in the short term from the disclosed US deal.
I hope that once they have news they do not try to hide it again. Really whether they think it is important or not it is for the market to decide. With so little news released almost anything becomes important.
I think that it would be wrong not to be hugely optimistic and this could easily 10 bag in the next few months with strong news.
The market needs updating on the previous news items like the Korean server manufacturer. Revenue streams cannot simply dissappear.

It's true that they have no interest in ramping the share price. All will come good in time I have no doubt about that.
Lots of noise about edge, cloud and how the industry will move forward. Security is a clear concern for many as is actually the nuts and bolts of delivery. I think that it will take another year for things to become clear as mass production and deployment leads the lost.

I don't think that David is looking for a quick exit. I don't think that he would stay if Ethernity was bought out and I believe that he will want to see this through. This is very much his baby which he has run for many years. I believe that he will reward himself with substantial dividends. Any approach would be for the patents and technology. They along with the assembled team are the assets.
