Can't believe...27 Jul 2021 16:27
I can't believe I've managed to get back in at the price. I was one of the people who dumped 700k shares at around 3p back in June, in a moment of madness. I was down 15% and thought I was being safe, only to see it rise to 4.4p in the next week following the update on sales. It really was a true feeling of regret, even though I've been involved in investing for over 10 years.
I thought I'd missed my chance but today I got a price alert on my app and I've been building a position throughout the day. I've also been keeping an eye on the counter on the Boots website, and I remember a few months ago the site visitors were on average 20-30 whenever I looked. It's now on average 50-60 (and still always over 100+ purchased), which suggests they're possibly selling double the amount of tests than they were before lockdown. So if the price hit 4.4p on the update of £3m in sales, it will be interesting what price it will hit if they say £6m on the next?
Obviously this is me speculating, but the visitor counter sure is a nice way to make some kind of educated-ish guess. I also believe that there's still some legs left in the PCR tests for flights seeing what's happening with the delta variant around Europe and further. We may have a large percentage of people vaccinated in this country, but we are ahead. A lot of other countries have a lot of catching up to do.
On top of this there's all the other product updates/releases/sales to look forward to. Only now they've got extra cash from the covid tests to pay for extra staff/development/manufacturing/promotion/growth and everything else.
Can you tell I'm happy to be back in? I thought I'd missed this boat...
