My guess is it will be at least March before it’s on sale and Avacta might get 2 months sales out of it at best before the next variant takes hold. Let’s hope it doesn’t need tweaking for that.

Ok. Insults out the way.
I was hoping that the folk on here that know what this is all about - might be able to hazard a guess on when we might expect the Omicron variant detecting Affidx on sale. If it takes a month then that could be too long if another variant has appeared that needs a tweak. And so on.

But instead the vicious rampers just come back at me because presumably it is a legitimate concern that they cannot bear the thought of.

I’m sure I will be attacked on all sides but here goes:
Big question in my mind is can Avacta get enough live samples of any new Covid variant to design the necessary tweak to Affidx to detect it, have the timescale to produce it, test it, carry out TT to a manufacturer, produce and sell enough product to make it commercially viable before that Covid variant has diminished and the next one is on top of us?

Omicron is starting to diminish in Oz already and when do we think Affidx will be back on sale given history?
Does each tweak have to go through a second Govt approval process??

ABDX RNS states TT completed mid December. So why wasn’t it RNSd then.
It is really hard to trust Al now.
Is he telling us all he knows about AVA6000 or is there more bad news behind the scenes? If we don’t get an RNS concerning AVA6000 this month, I will despair.

Progress has been painfully slow and communication muddied. Eg. lack of UK authorisation won’t affect 2021 sales revenues - why is that? Two ways to to read it!
And sadly AS has missed a number of his predictions for Affidx, or are you saying those don’t count as targets?
I’m invested in Cornish Lithium and they are hitting all their predictions/targets and keeping us well informed along the way.

Read back through the ramper posts. Even today some are saying that LFT authorisation in UK is irrelevant.

But it’s not. The fact that UK Government won’t pass Affidx casts a black shadow over the product for any potential buyer. And as for EU they hate us for Brexit and other historical reasons so little chance of volume sales from there.

If I’m wrong, why aren’t the sales contracts rolling in already.

We will never sell in volume to EU and ROW until we put PD demon to bed. No one’s gonna buy an LFT that the manufacturer’s own country won’t sanction.

As to the f*ck PD brigade, then I think that that is niaive. My understanding is that passing CTDA is not an end goal. I think that we still need to get through PD to get long term validation to sell in UK. Just my reading of the procedures. CTDA just gives a temporary “licence”.

Anyhoo. Keep going BC you’ve got a good dialogue going with Peto.

Someone on here that knows must be able to put together a short reply now you’ve got his attention.

Gotta be something like”Readon for Affidx accuracy is it is only test to bind to xxxxxxxxxxxx using new technology. However freezing the sample destroys xxxxx. Other less accurate tests bind to yyyyy which is unaffected by freezing the samples but does not give as accurate results.

The very thing that makes it so accurate (proved in independent tests on real unfrozen samples) is the thing that is stopping it passing Porton Down validation process. A quick test of Affidx on unfrozen samples at PD would prove the point.
Why cannuthis be carried out given the dramatic impact on LFT availability and support to UK biotech.

I have good days and bad days. I will try not to vent my frustrations. But even the most positive posters on here seem to agree that something is happening (or not happening) behind the scenes that is being held back from public scrutiny that whether by intent or complacency or incompetence has severely delayed Affidx getting volume sales.

I’m invested and in ABDX. Not a huge amount but uncomfortably large proportion of my savings.
I think Avacta potential is outstanding for cancer sufferers and us shareholders. But forget about seeing any major profits from the LFT.
Looking back over the predictions over the past 18 months on LFT and what has actually come to pass, I think at heart we all know this.
But 2022 should be massive for AVA6000 et Al.

Well why should anybody want to buy tests that the manufacturer’s own government won’t approve?
We’ve got to get through CTDA.
