Not sure whether you watch or have watched GBNews but it's a common misconception about their "views". Every discussion has a balance of political opinion on it. And I think because their viewers are maybe generall older they would be a perfect fit for Slimbiome - the older you get normally the more weight you put on and need to lose. I speak from experience! I can't see any harm in OPTI advertising on there, and I think it's ludicrous of some to sugvgest the products would somehow be "tainted" by it. They even advertise a donkey sanctuary on it, I don't think that turns people off donkeys!

Bk2011 - totally wrong and misinformed nonsense. Their autidted and verified viewing figures show just over an average of 1.2m viewers, which sometimes spike to 3m (on a par with SKY News and BBC News) for certain programmes. If you care to watch it you'll see my meaning. when you see the adverts. Lot of smaller companies at very affordable ad rates, otherwise they wouldn't advertise. I'm sure if the figures and costs were laid out before us, most shareholders would be in favour.

In my view, SOH should seriously consider advertising with GBNews. Their viewership is sometimes on a par with SKY News and BBC News (according to their website). I note also they have plenty of small companies advertising with them, so I would imagine the costs would be very reasonable indeed. Their website states a 100% increase in interest in purchasing after a series of ads. It cannot hurt to give it a try.

Excellent RNS - maybe the negative posters might just realise the massive potential unfolding here.

This interesting story broke today. I don't know whether Sweetbiotix is the sort of thing that could fill the gap, instead of Glycerol, but if it could imagine actually healthy "slushy drinks". Parents would fall over themselves for them for their kids. Perhaps SOH could look into it and if it's possible then our so-far useless PR company could start earning their corn.

FriedmanSowell - yes of course they are competitors, does that exclude them from possibly both using Sweetbiotix and creating a much healthier drink? They both have form from the past of virtually copying each other in cfertain spheres.

Also, I don't see how it could be "bad news" if either or both pay a visit to Firmenich while they are in Europe visiting OPTI.

For the avoidance of doubt, it's nothing to do with TW, the knowledge they are planning to visit us has been public for a while. It was actually Elric who mentioned the visit to both us and Firmenich in his latest broadcast.

Yes, we know that DireCons - I'm just exploring the outside possibility of IF one of them are fully interested will they view OPTI as a bid play given that the market cap of circa £18m is less than pockey money to companies like that.

The perfect storm in my view - a small UK company that could be swallowed up for say 50p per share given forward prospects, supplying a US giant. A nice little integration.

I appreciate it's purely conjecture at this stage, and with plenty of ifs and buts, but IF Coca-Coca and/or Pepsico are visiting OPTi at the end of the month to continue discussions re Sweetbiotix, and IF they are going to visit Firmenich to view quality and production then to me there is an outside chance that could eventually put OPTi into play as a potential bid scenario. IF either Coca-Cola or Pepsico, or both, were serious about utilising Sweetbiotix in any meaningful amount they may eventually want to control the total means of production and distribution, and with the other irons in OPTI's fire that makes them a potential target.

I'm not running before I can walk here and not suggesting that OPTi will be bid for but it's interesting to see how all those bits could come together to eventually lead to something like it.

Apparently it's a visit to OPTI and he's hinting they may visit Firmenich to see production and quality control. I'm only relaying what I've listened to today - could be some interesting times ahead here. I also note a 95,000 buy towards the close on Friday.

Elric's Lemming Investor new podcast released yesterday. He hints they may be looking at production of Sweetbiotix via Firmenrich.

Will be very interesting to see if anything positive comes of the end of the month visit by Pepsico and Coca-Cola where Sweetbiotix is concerned.

I agree with you there Mol. I fully expected an RNS this week seeing as SOH had already stated that the Morepen sales were "going very well". The delay may be that the new finance director is still getting his feet under the desk and wants to make sure all the figures are accurate.

Of course, if SOH is correct about the Morepen deal then the RNS will be positive. It's not particularly 2024 that's important, it's 2025 onwards, and I strongly feel we've turned the corner now and our back on disappointment.

I've just noticed at 11.38 1 share was sold in OPTI, and at 11.40 1 share was sold in SBTX.

It's an old market saw that the sale or buy of 1 share presages an RNS, but it's not always the case. Could it be that SOH has been selling down more SBTX, or is it a separate announcement from both companies on any deals, etc?

Whatever, it's most unusal to see a "1" bargain posted at almost the same time for both (linked) companies.

I believe we are overdue one, and my hunch is that SOH has delayed it until the Dr. Morepen deal went through and they could comment on that too.

If pressed, I'd say my money would be on an RNS this week. All my opinion though so no advice intended either way.

Well, take a look on the bright side. If SlimExpert is eventually discontinued then so be it.

Slimbiome has reasonable sales, and the big iron in the fire, Dr. Morepen is doing "very well" by all accounts, and the US "Lemonade Deal" I think has the ability to spring a very pleasant surprise to the upsde, so my view is be optimistic. OPTI will cut the losers and run with the winners, and 2025 is going to be a winner for OPTI in my opinion.

The way I see it, we could well have 3 statements in the coming weeks and months.

I think we'll get the general trading update soon, possibly this week. Then, because it's been mooted the Morepen deal is "going very well" - an update and statement on that.

Now the USA "Lemonade Deal" is receiving some rave reviews who knows? There could well be another order of an additional 10 tons of Slimbiome if sales are ahead of expectations. Don't forget also word of mouth is as good an advert as reviews.

I think these are exciting times for OPTi and the 2nd quarter of the year Apr-Jun could be especially so.

Takes all sorts I suppose. I still think this site is superior to ADVFN which I refuse to use, but if there are trolls here too then so be it.

It won't make any difference to OPTI which is sitting on the launch pad in my opinion.
