IF Covidity works, there is still great potential and there should be no lack of Partners for the project.

Thanks for that Johnny - it surprises me that Valneva having suspended production of their existing vaccine due to lack of demand, are still interested in Covid vaccines at all. I agree - potential remains for an improved Covid vaccine - it's worrying to hear that UK covid cases have been reported up 10% then 14% in weeks recently.

You make a good point Chester - a vax is not 2nd Generation unless it hopes to cater for variants that have yet to emerge. Surely if Covidity works, there is potential for widespread use. Even now.

The Covidity trial's are taking long enough FGS. Maybe the data WILL be good. Fingers crossed.

C11 - if we get good data from the Covidity trials then the potential remains significant. After all, even the latest vaccines in use are narrowly focused and as I understand, no semblance of a 'universal' vax is available atm. IMO there would still be an enormous appetite for an annual Covid shot with wider coverage.

Perceptions that the Covid pandemic has lapsed may be ill judged - latest figures show an incidence in the UK of 152K in the week to 21/9 and an estimated live 1,830,000 cases in total - (those figures from the latest Dr John Campbell who is still waffling away). It's early in the winter season to be seeing such an increase. Ruck is right - current relaxed attitudes may change quickly . . . .
