Too much for me after about 10 lines - mindblowing ! For me, impossible to understand how a paper like that gets written. 179 references including a Mellman and a Sahin as contributors but I didn't notice any of the usual names on the Scancell papers.

So an AZ interest in Scancell for both oncology and covid is not out of the question, (if the trials go well). It's ONLY a possibility, but we ARE in it so might conceivably win it LOL. Blue - yes but surely Scancell have milked Nottingham for recruits already. And the extremely specialist skills Scancell will be seeking might not be on the doorstep. Come to that, relocation may not be an issue with say, PhD students. And as Ruck says 07.46, "you need a recruitment policy bigger than a classified ad in the Oxford gazette."

Ruck - regarding the 'downside' in your 23.47, Prof. Lindy will continue to have longstanding contacts at the Uni so I don't see that fair point affecting the development of Scancell at all. Also IMO the 'Microsoft ' comment is hardly applicable here.

Further I doubt that the revelation via Inan had anything at all to do with yesterday's fall in the SP.

Whatever the details of Prof. Lindy's disengagement, I'm sure it will all be done with goodwill and will go well. Just MHO but I'm delighted - I don't see how Scancell will lose over this move and I'm glad we have a 100% CEO at last.

i could never understand how the CDd4 T cell got its second signal from within the Tumour microenvironment professional antigen present cells .. it is a question i have put to Lindy, but i think it relates to that boost, in other words the existing APC recognise the wild type but don't respond to it .. but they do if its counter party ie the t cell is part activated with a citrullinated peptide of the same linage

Reason for that ............. if we have immunogenicity it can only happen if t cells receiving instruction from the vaccine get a second signal to go active in the tumour. In other words we have a "tumor infiltrating lymphocyte" with its detectable interferon gamma signature

Of course, my 2nd booster in September will be Moderna 2, (not Pfizer+ as mentioned). I feel some trepidation as a 50% dose of Moderna knocked me over last time ! There you go . . . . . .
