Konar 18.28 - you make a fair point but for sure, Scancell have been looking for a good deal all along, once getting very close in fact. Maybe there is comfort in this raise, insofaras BoD have put together something quite substantial and a lot more imaginative. I agree question marks will arise IF nothing commercial results from AvidiMab. And BioNTech - who knows ? Maybe this funding round shows that BoD HAVE got what it takes. Time will tell.
Chester 19.42 - as predicted, ' the BoD are faultless' post soon followed Konar's. I think most LTH were rightly 'put out' when unaware that SCIB1 UK arm had been held up due to the USA link and if you check the timings, there was a considerable lapse between that event and the CV-19 paralysis. For me JC/CH have yet to prove themselves but I'm encouraged now. In fairness, I defended CH in the 'update'issue, saying that we just don't know what he's up to - I daresay, in CV-19 times, putting this raise together was not easy so well done on that. But unproven until a deal arrives . . .
miavoce 21.17 - regarding Redmile maybe so - the same hopes were laboured since Vulpes arrived on the scene. But maybe Vulpes have helped liven things up - who knows?
For me the biggest concern is the pandemic. The USA is in CV-19 meltdown and in the UK after 6 months, it's far from over as colder weather is a couple of months away. Will this inhibit SCIB1 Combo recruitment? Possibly. Hopefully we'll all be vaccinated before Modi1 recruits, but it's a concern. Making an event aka AvidiMab, BioNTech or rabbit out of the hat even more desirable!
